e) Installation site, connection
• Install and use the product where it is out of the reach of children.
• At the site of installation, the ambient temperature must not be around or below freezing point (<0 °C).
This causes the water in the product to freeze; the higher volume of ice destroys the product. Store the
product in a dry place above freezing point during winter.
f) Operation
• Check the product for damages before each use. If you find any damage, you must not use the product.
Repairs should be carried out by a specialist workshop!
• Always remove the rechargeable battery from the product when not in use, and before repairs,
maintenance or cleaning.
• The water to be pumped should be as clean as possible. Impurities (e.g. sand, earth, leaves etc.) cause
higher wear, thus reducing the life span of the product, and also the possibility of mechanical clogging of
the drive impeller and blockage of the intake openings.
Besides, even light soiling clogs the nozzle attachments supplied.
Therefore, regular functional control of the product is absolutely essential.
• The product is not suitable for the conveyance of drinking water.
• Nobody is allowed to stay in the water to be pumped while the product is operating.
• Consequential damages, caused by malfunction or fault of the product, should be prevented by relevant
measures (e.g. by use of water level gauge, sensors, alarm devices and suchlike).
• The product is only suitable for use in temperate, not tropical, climates.
• The control unit of the product is splash-proof (protection type IPX4). Do not expose the control unit to
direct water jets.
• The pump mechanism of the product is water resistant (protection type IPX8).
• The product must never run dry. Otherwise the product will be damaged.
