Basic functions
Switching the light on and off
• Press the light button to switch the
lighting on or off.
Note
The lighting is only switched on
if your electrical installer has con­
nected it.
Changing the display mode
The door image can be displayed on
the full screen.
• Press the ∨ or ∧ button on the
5­way cross­shaped control element
to change between the display
modes.
Selecting a door station
• Press the speech button to make a
speech connection to the door sta­
tion from which the last call came.

Ring tone and
ring tone volume
Switching the ring tone off and
back on again
• Press the ring tone muting button
to switch all ring tones off and back
on again.
Note
When the ring tone muting func­
tion is active, the ring tone muting
button will light up in red.
Set the ring tone and ring tone
volume under Settings > Audio
settings.
You can select between 11 ring
tones, for example using a different
ring tone for the front door bell or
apartment door bell than for internal
or group calls.
The ring tone volume can be set in
5 steps.
Setting the ring tone
1 Open the menu
Settings >
Audio settings >
Ring tone melody
and select the call type, e.g. door
call 1.
The currently set ring tone is selected
in the display and played.
2 Setting the ring tone:
Use the buttons ∨ and ∧ to select a
different ring tone.
The selected ring tone is played.
3 Pressing < returns you to the
higher­level menu.
Adjusting the ring tone volume
1 Open the menu
Settings >
Audio settings >
Ring tone volume.
The last selected ring tone is played
at the currently set ring tone volume.
2 Use the buttons ∨ and ∧ to
change the ring tone volume.

Video memory
Every time a visitor actuates the
call button at the door, an image is
taken automatically.
In the menu Settings > Video
memory set the number of seconds
delay before the image is taken
after the call button is actuated
(image capture delay adjustable from
0–9 seconds).
All visitor images are stored with
time and date. The images are saved
in *.tif format with a resolution of
800 x 480 Pixel.
In the device, up to a maximum
of 50 pictures can be saved. If the
storage capacity is exhausted, or
when you have reached the max­
imum number of pictures, the oldest
picture is always overwritten.
Setting the save images function
In the Settings > Video memory >
Save images menu, the automatic
saving of images can be deactivated/
activated. In the as­delivered status,
this function is active.
If the video memory is deactivated
by means of BPS 650‑..., this menu
point is hidden at the indoor device.
Display images
After accessing the Video memory
menu, you will be shown a list of all
saved images.
1 Open the menu Video memory.
2 By pressing ∨ or ∧ at the 5­way
cross­shaped control element, select
a picture from the list.
3 Press the Enter button or
the > button to open the picture.
4 By pressing < at the 5‑way cross‑
shaped control element, return to
the list view.
5 Press < again to return to the main
menu.
