Therefore, at the end of each use, it is advisable to remove any leftover
food, unless it is used again in the short term, and store it properly
according to the common healthy rules.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

ATTENTION:
It is recommended to clean the appliance on a regular basis as, during
use, food residues may remain in the inner part of the appliance. A regular
cleaning improve hygiene of food. It is recommended to ALWAYS clean
the appliance anytime different kinds of food are used (e.g., if, after hav-
ing grated cheese, some chocolate is grated), as the presence of food
residues may cause a contamination of the various ingredients.
Gratì is waterproof and can be washed entirely under running water without
having to disassemble it.
Anyway, for a thorough cleaning, disassemble every single component of the
appliance, by proceeding as follows:
- remove the plug (C) by removing outwards.
- rotate the roll of about 1/4 of a turn counter-clockwise, then take it out (Fig. 8).
- remove strongly the removable part (I) from the presser (G) (Fig. 9).
Hand wash all removable components (rolls, removable presser, and plug) with
warm water and mild detergent.
For cleaning the recharging base, use only a damp cloth and NEVER immerse
in water or other liquids. Furthermore, do not use abrasive fabrics, that may
scratch surfaces irremediably, but only soft clothes.
ATTENTION
Never leave the appliance immersed in water.
Appliance reassembly
Before a new use, assemble the appliance carrying out the following operations:
- lift the presser (G) and mount the related removable part (I) into the apposite
seat pressing strongly until it clicks engaged (Fig. 9). Make sure the tab
matches with the slot on the presser (G).
- According to requirements, insert the grater roll (D) or the one for slivers (L)
into its seat inside the appliance body (E) and, keeping it pressed, rotate it
1/4 of turn clockwise (Fig. 2).
ATTENTION:
Make sure all components are properly mounted before use.
