5.1.2 ELA-PTT-Mikrofon
An den Kanal 1 lässt sich ein ELA-PTT-Mikrofon

5.1.3 Audiogeräte
Geräte mit Line-Ausgang (CD-Spieler, Tape-Deck,
Tuner etc.) und mit XLR-Anschluss an die Buchsen
MIC/LINE INPUTS (16) anschließen und den ent-
sprechenden Umschalter MODE (7) in die Position
LINE stellen.
Geräte mit Cinch-Buchsen an die Cinch-Buchsen
LINE 7 – 10 (20) anschließen. Mit dem entsprechen-
den Umschalter MODE kann zwischen den Geräten
an den Cinch-Buchsen und den Mikrofonen an den
XLR-Anschlüssen MIC INPUTS 7 – 10 (15) umge-
schaltet werden.
5.2 Taster zum Fernbedienen des Gongs
Um den Gong auch auf Distanz zum Vorverstärker
auslösen zu können, sind Anschlüsse für einen Tas-
ter vorhanden. Den Taster mit den Schrauban-
schlüssen CHIME REMOTE (22) verbinden.

5.1.2 PA PTT microphone
A PA PTT microphone (e. g. PA-1120PTT of MONA-
COR) can be connected to channel 1 via jack P.T.T 1
(21). The connection cable may be up to 30 m long.

5.1.3 Audio units
Connect units with line output (CD player, tape deck,
tuner, etc.) and XLR connection to the jacks MIC/
LINE INPUTS (16), and set the corresponding
MODE selector switch (7) to position LINE.
Connect units with phono jacks to the phono
jacks LINE 7 to 10 (20). With the corresponding
MODE selector switch it is possible to switch be -
tween the units connected to the phono jacks and
the microphones connected to the XLR jacks MIC
INPUTS 7 to 10 (15).
5.2 Momentary push-button
for the remote control of the chime
To be able to release the chime also from a distance
to the preamplifier, connections for a momentary
push-button are available. Connect the momentary
push-button to the screw terminals CHIME RE-
MOTE (22).

5.3 Endverstärker
Einen zweikanaligen Endverstärker oder zwei einka-
nalige Endverstärker an die XLR-Anschlüsse OUT-
PUT 1 und 2 (14) anschließen.
Wird nur eine Beschallungszone benötigt, einen
einkanaligen Endverstärker an die Buchse OUT-
PUT 1 an schließen und alle Schiebeschalter OUT-
PUT (2 + 5) in die Position „1" stellen.

5.4 Aufnahmegerät

Ein Audio-Aufnahmegerät lässt sich an die Buchsen
REC (19) anschließen. Der Aufnahmepegel ist un -
abhängig von der Einstellung der Regler (11) für die
beiden Ausgänge. An der weißen Buchse LEFT liegt
das Signal des Ausgangs 1 an und an der roten
Buchse RIGHT das Signal des Ausgangs 2.
5.5 Strom- und Notstromversorgung
Soll der Verstärker bei einem Netz ausfall weiterar-
beiten, an die Schraubanschlüsse DC POWER (18)
eine 24-V-Notstrom einheit (z. B. PA-24ESP von
MONACOR) an schließen.
Hinweis: Liegt die 24-V-Spannung von der Notstromein-
heit an den Anschlüssen DC POWER an, lässt sich der
PA-1410MX mit der Taste POWER (13) nicht ausschalten.
Bei einem Netzausfall oder wenn zum Ausschalten die
Taste POWER betätigt wird, schaltet das Gerät automa-
tisch auf die Notstromversorgung um.
Zum Schluss den Stecker des Netzkabels (17) in
eine Steckdose (230 V~/50 Hz) stecken.
5.3 Power amplifier
Connect a two-channel power amplifier or two one-
channel power amplifiers to the XLR jacks OUTPUT
1 and 2 (14).
If only one PA zone is required, connect a one-
channel power amplifier to the jack OUTPUT 1, and
set all sliding switches OUTPUT (2 + 5) to position "1".

5.4 Recording unit

An audio recording unit can be connected to the
jacks REC (19). The recording level is independent
of the adjustment of the controls (11) for the two out-
puts. The signal of output 1 is applied to the white
jack LEFT, and the signal of output 2 to the red jack
RIGHT.
5.5 Power supply and
emergency power supply
For continued operation of the amplifier after a
power failure, connect a 24 V emergency power
supply unit (e. g. MONACOR PA-24ESP) to the ter-
minals DC POWER (18).
Note: If the 24 V voltage of the emergency power supply
unit is present at the connections DC POWER, the
PA-1410MX cannot be switched off with the button
POWER (13). In case of a mains failure or when the but-
ton POWER is actuated for switching off, the unit is auto-
matically switched to the emergency power supply.
Finally connect the plug of the mains cable (17) to a
mains socket (230 V~/50 Hz).
6 Operation
To avoid howling and switching noise, leave the
PA-1410MX switched off up to operating step 5).
1) Set all LEVEL controls (1 + 4) and the two output
controls (11) to position "0".
2) For the channels 1 to 3 activate or deactivate the
priority:

Zur Vermeidung von Rückkopplungspfeifen und
Schalt geräuschen den PA-1410MX bis zum Be dien-
schritt 5) ausgeschaltet lassen.
1) Alle Pegelregler LEVEL (1 + 4) und die beiden
Ausgangsregler (11) in die Position "0" stellen.
2) Für die Kanäle 1 bis 3 den Vorrang aktivieren
bzw. deaktivieren:
Kanal 1 über die Buchse P.T.T 1 (21) bzw. direkt
am angeschlossenen PTT-Mikrofon
Kanal 2 und 3 mit den Schaltern PRIORITY (8).
In der unteren Position ON ist der Vorrang akti-
viert.
3) Für jeden Kanal separat mit dem Schiebeschal-
ter OUTPUT (5) wählen, auf welchen Ausgang,
d. h. auf welche Beschallungszone der jeweilige
Kanal geschaltet werden soll:
Ausgang 1, 1 + 2 oder 2.
4) Für die Kanäle 2 bis 10 jeweils mit dem Schalter
MODE (7) einstellen, welches Gerät angeschlos-
sen ist:

: für Mikrofone, Low-Cut-Filter ein
MIC
: für Mikrofone, Low-Cut-Filter aus
LINE:
für Audiogeräte mit Line-Ausgang
(CD-Spieler, Tape-Deck, Tuner etc.)
Ist das Low-Cut-Filter (300-Hz-Hochpass) einge-
schaltet, werden tieffrequente Geräusche unter-
drückt und Sprache wird verständlicher.
Bei den Kanälen 7 bis 10 lässt sich mit dem
Schalter MODE außerdem jeweils zwischen
einem Mikrofon am XLR-Anschluss (15) und
einem Gerät an den Cinch-Buchsen (20) um -
schalten.
5) Den PA-1410MX mit der Taste POWER (13) ein-
schalten. Die rote Betriebsanzeige über der
Taste leuchtet. Die ELA-Anlage komplett ein-
schalten.
Ist eine Notstromversorgung angeschlossen,
schaltet der PA-1410MX bei einem Stromausfall
automatisch auf die Notstromversorgung um.

If the low cut filter (300 Hz high pass) is switched
on, low frequency noise is suppressed and
speech becomes easier to understand.
In addition, for channels 7 to 10 it is possible to
switch with the MODE switch in each case be -
tween a microphone connected to the XLR jack
(15) and a unit connected to the phono jacks (20).
5) Switch on the PA-1410MX with the POWER switch
(13). The red operating indication above the button
lights up. Switch on the PA system completely.
If the emergency power supply is connected,
the PA-1410MX is automatically switched to the
emergency power supply in case of a mains failure.
6) Set the two output controls (11) to position "7".
Adjust the volume of the connected microphones
and audio units with the respective LEVEL con-
trols (4). Leave the controls in "0" position for all
channels not used.
7) Adjust the sound for the two outputs separately
with the controls LOW (9) for the bass frequen-
cies and HIGH (10) for the high frequencies.
8) Finally control the outputs in an optimum way
with the two controls (11). With music peaks the
green LED "0" of the level indication (12) should
light up. In case of overload the red LED "+3"
lights up. Then reduce the volume with the corre-
sponding control.
