Safety instructions

WARNING!
Read all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations and specifica-
tions provided with this tool. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result
in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
– This charger is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, un-
less they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the charger
by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure
that they do not play with the charger.
– This charger can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowl-
edge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appli-
ance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with
the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children with-
out supervision.
– Do not open the charger.
– Protect the charger from metal components (e.g. swarf) or liquids.
– WARNING! Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries!
– Do not use power supply units or battery packs from other manufacturers to op-
erate cordless power tools. Do not use chargers from other manufacturers to
charge the battery packs. The use of accessories not expressly authorised by the
manufacturer can result in electric shocks and/or serious accidents.
– Protect the machine from moisture.
– Protect the cable from heat, oil and sharp edges.
– Check the plug and the cable regularly and should either become damaged, in order
to avoid a hazard, have them replaced by an authorised after-sales service work-
shop.
– Do not cover vent openings on the charger. The charger can overheat and will not
work properly.
– There is a risk of vapours being released if the battery pack is damaged or not
used correctly. The vapours could irritate your airways. Seek fresh air and consult
a doctor if you feel unwell.
