Fault finding and corrective action
Check wire feed safety switch.
1) If variation 0 to 24V = DC replace motor
reducer unit
2) If no variation, check 24V~AC mother board
supply between (1 and 2 B1)
Check that the cursor of the potentiometer
varies from 0 to 15V (wire 301-302)
If mother board supply (1 and 2 B15) and
potentiometer correct, replace mother board
Check :
Condition of cylinder
Condition of pressure regulator and gas hose
When disconnecting torch and by shunting (1)
and (2), check that the gas flows. If yes, see
torch
If gas does not flow :
Check 24V~AC power supply on solenoid
valve terminals, wire (210-211)
If 24V~AC, change solenoid valve of check
gas circuit
If no 24V~AC, check 24V~AC connection
between (1 and 2 of B11) (210-211)
If no, change mother board
Check that the earth - is connected to piece to
be welded with trigger pressed.
Check no-load voltages on terminals (+ wire
feed quick fitting connector and - see table,
page 39)
If no-load voltage correct, check torch current
conduction (coaxial cable)
IF NO-LOAD VOLTAGE = 0
Check trigger = 1 ; 24V~AC on terminals 203
and 204 of welding contactor (mother board).
Otherwise 24V~AC change PCB.
If 24V~AC, check engagement of contactor, if
no engagement of contactor change it (CT).
IF NO-LOAD VOLTAGES INCORRECT
Contactor engaged, check current conduction
of contactor poles
Check diode bridge and power connections
