Carrying out welding with the Geberit
electrofusion machine ESG 3
Prerequisite
• Pipes, fittings and welding joints are dry and free of dirt
• Pipes and fittings are prepared in accordance with the
installation manual for Geberit electrofusion couplings or
Geberit electrofusion couplings with integrated thermal fuse
• Pipe surfaces are prepared in accordance with the installation
manual for Geberit electrofusion tape for anchor point
DANGER
Danger of fatal electric shock
Do not weld wet or water-filled pipes
An isolation transformer must be included in the circuit
when carrying out electrofusion work in damp areas
Allow the Geberit electrofusion coupling or Geberit
electrofusion tape to cool down before conducting a
secondary welding procedure
WARNING
Risk of injury from burns
Do not touch the pipe, electrofusion coupling, plug
contacts, electrofusion coupling with integrated thermal
fuse or electrofusion tape during the welding procedure
or during the cooling-down phase
