Initial start-up
Burner adjustment
Light oil pressure adjustment
Danger of explosion:
during adjustment operations,
constantly check the CO and
CO2 emissions, and the smoke-
developed index. In case of CO
build-up, modify the combustion
values. The maximum CO value must
not exceed 50ppm.
Burner start-up
Prior to starting up the burner, load all
the pipes until the light oil filter fills up.
Subsequently, start the burner by
intervening on the boiler thermostat. To
completely remove the air from the light
oil pipes, loosen the relief screw on the
light oil filter during the pre-ventilation
phase. During the course of this
operation, make sure that the

Operation check
A flame monitoring safety check must
be effected during the initial start-up
phase and after servicing or prolonged
periods of inactivity of the plant.
- Start-up attempt with dimmed flame
detector: once the safety time expires,
the control programmer must shift to
anomaly.
- Start-up attempt with lit up flame
detector: after 10 seconds of pre-
aeration, the control programmer must
shift to anomaly.
- Normal start-up: when the burner is
depression does not exceed 0.4 bar.
When light oil leaks out without bubbles
and the filter is entirely filled with light
oil, close the relief screw again.
Burner power adjustment
Adjust the light oil pressure so that the
burner dispenses the desired power, by
intervening on the pressure regulator.
Always check the combustion values
(CO, CO2, smoke-developed index). If
necessary, modify the air flow rate in a
gradual manner.

functioning, dim the flame detector:
after a new start-up and once the safety
time expires, the control programmer
must shift to anomaly.

Optimisation of combustion values
In the event of unsatisfactory
combustion values, modify the position
of the combustion head. This will modify
the start-up pattern and combustion
values. If necessary, compensate the
variation of the air flow rate by adjusting
the air shutter.
Caution: in case of installation on a
boiler, observe the minimum flue gas
temperature according to the
indications of the boiler
manufacturer and the requirements
of the flue gas discharge system, so
as to avoid condensate build-up.
Light oil pressure adjustment
To adjust the light oil pressure (and thus
the burner power), intervene on the
pressure regulator 6 on the pump.
Turn towards:
- the right: pressure increases;
- the left: pressure decreases;
Check the value by connecting a
manometer to fitting 4, thread R1/8".
Depression check
The vacuum gauge for measuring
depression must be connected to fitting
5, R1/8".
Maximum allowed depression 0.4 bar.
With higher depression values, the
heating oil gasifies causing a
screeching sound and damage to the
pump.
Cleaning the pump filter
The filter is located beneath the pump
(SUNTEC) or in an appropriate
cartridge (DANFOSS). To clean it,
loosen the cover screws and remove it
(SUNTEC) or loosen the screw
(DANFOSS).
• Check the tightness of the pump cover
and replace the seal if necessary.
