Destination and use
The four channel radio receiver is used to switch electrical loads via
radio transmission. The transmission is carried out at a frequency of
2.4 GHz. The receiver can only be used in combination with the trans-
mitter RF GF(S)(I) SW2.4. The steute module SW100AMBINT /
SW100AMBEXT is a wireless data transmission system. This RF mod-
ule can be integrated into various end products. steute declares that
the module complies with the following directive and standards: Satis-
fy all the technical regulations applicable to the product within the
scope of council directives 2006/95/EC, 2004/108/EC and 99/5/EC if
used for its intended purpose and that the following norms, standards
or documents have been applied:
EN 300 440-1 V1.3.1 (2001-09)
EN 300 440-2 V1.1.2 (2004-07)
EN 301 489-1 V1.6.1 (2005-09)
EN 301 489-3 V1.4.1 (2002-08)
EN 60950 (2006)
EN 50371 (2002)
Mounting / Wiring
Only suitable antennas must be used. Antenna with 1 m cable and SMA
plug-in connector, part No. 01.08.0409. The antenna should be mount-
ed on a metal plate of 250 x 250 mm minimum size as an HF counter-
weight. The sensing range accordingly depends on the local conditions.
Thus the radio signal can be strongly affected by conductive materials.
This also includes thin foils, e.g. aluminium laminations on insulation
materials.
Notices
Regulatory information on the OEM devise should contain labelling
that: Approved in accordance to R&TTE directive transmitter module
marked by CE, manufactured by steute incorporated to OEM product.
FCC Regulatory Information The Federal Communication Commission
Radio Frequency Interference Statement includes the following para-
graph. This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the
limits pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed
to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a res-
idential installation. This equipment generates, uses and radiates
radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance
with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio com-
munication. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not
occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful
interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined
by turnig the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to
correct the interference by one or more of the following meansures:
-Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. - Increase the separation
between the equipment and receiver. -Connect the equipment into an
outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connect-
ed. -Consult the dealer or an experienced radio / TV technician for
help. Radiofrequency radiation exposure Information: This equipment
complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncon-
trolled environment. This equipment should be installed and operated
with minimum distance of 20cm between the radiator and you body.
This transmitter must not be co-located or operating in conjunction
with any other antenna or transmitter. Not Authorized modification
could void authority to use this equipment. »This device complies with
Part 15 of the FCC Rules and with RSS-210 of Industry Canada. Opera-
tion is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not
cause harmful interference, (2) this device must accept any interfer-
ence received, including interference that may cause undesired opera-
tion.« This device contains FCC-ID SW100AMBINT / SW100AMBEXT
Subject to technical modifications. Reconstruction and alterations at
the switch are not allowed. Moreover steute does not assume any
lia-bility for recommendations made or implied by this description.
From this description new claims for guarantee, warranty or liability
cannot be derived beyond the general terms and conditions of delivery.
Setting-up operation
Carrying out pairing
1. Press both push-buttons at receiver until LED MD flashes
2. Select channel for the foot switch to be taught in with S2 (channel 1,
channel 2 or channel 1 & 2)
3. Confirm with S1 (1 s) the selected channel,
LED MD and LED channel flash
4. Open foot switch and keep pairing push-button pressed (see
mounting instructions RF GF(S)I SW2.4)
and actuate pedal until the red LED (state) inside the foot switch
flashes.
5. Wait for some seconds until the pairing has been carried out.
6. Red and green LEDs inside the foot switch go off
7. The channel LED at the receiver goes off and the LED MD
lights permanently.
8. Actuate push-button at the foot switch. Now the corresponding
relay will switch.
Deleting one pairing partner (foot switch):
1. Keep S1 pressed for 6 s
2. LED MD flashes channel LED lights up
3. Select the channel to be deleted with S2
4. Confirm deleting with S1 (1 s)
5. After releasing the push-button S1 the corresponding channel LED
goes off permanently
Function addressing of the receiver
The on channel 1 taught in foot switch actuates relay 1 with its first
pedal and relay 2 with its second pedal. The fourth relay switches the
validate signal. The on channel 2 taught in foot switch actuates relay 3
with its first pedal. The fourth relay also switches the validate signal. If
the same foot switch has been taught in on both channels, it will be
able to switch the relays 1 to 3, as well as validate.
Maintenance
With careful mounting as described above, only minor maintenance is
necessary. We recommend regular maintenance in the following steps:
1. Check switching function
2. Remove dirt
