USING THE APPLIANCE
Principle of functioning
The dehydrator is composed of a base and five stackable, transparent levels resistant to high temperatures.
The base covers heating element, motor with fan and a thermostat.
The ventilation openings in trays allow air circulation.
The air of controlled temperature passes from the base of the dehydrator through all five levels, draws off
moisture from the foods and escapes through the cover from the dehydrator.
The length of drying can vary depending on the moisture in the foods and air humidity. Use the
dehydrator in a well ventilated, warm and dry room with minimum dust. Good air ventilation in the room
is also important for the drying process.
Before first use:
1.
Remove all packaging materials from the dehydrator.
Wash the trays and the lid of the dehydrator with warm water do not wash in the dishwasher! Wipe the
2.
dehydrator base on the outside using wet cloth. Do not immerse the base in water or any other liquid!
3.
Place the dehydrator on a stable and heat resistant surface, away from other heat sources. Select a place
keeping in mind that you should not move the dehydrator during the drying process. The load capacity of
the surface has to bear the weight of the dehydrator including the prepared contents. There has to be at
least 15 cm of free space around the appliance to ensure proper operation of the dehydrator.
4.
Assemble the dehydrator and switch it on without foods for about 30 minutes. Slight odor may appear
after you first turn it on. This is normal, ensure sufficient ventilation. Then wait until the dehydrator cools
down entirely, rinse the trays and wipe the base using wet cloth.
Assembling the appliance
Make sure that the dehydrator stands on even and stable surface. Assemble drying trays and plug the power
cord into an electrical outlet. The spacing between the individual levels can be set to 30 or 50 mm so that the
upper tray always fits into respective notches in the tray underneath. You can adjust this way the level height
and place in it differently sized foods. The dehydrator is ready to use.
Drying foods
1.
Spread cleaned foods on individual trays. Do not overfill the trays, the food pieces should not overlap.
Always start filling at the lowest tray and continue upwards. After filling cover the trays with a lid.
Do not immerse in water!
