Connecting the SOLAR-HOME-STATION
Connecting plan (4)
Important instructions:
- When connecting accumulators and charger
modules, it is important to observe the correct
polarity (fire hazard).
- When using operators with a protective
conductor connection, the SOLAR-HOME-
STATION must be properly earthed.
- Follow all the instructions provided in the
SOLAR-HOME-STATION'S Instruction Manual.
- Insert the operator's mains plug into the SOLAR-
HOME-STATION'S electric socket (4c).
- Connect the accumulator pack to the "AKKU"
input of the SOLAR-HOME-STATION (4d).
- Do not connect the start cable until you have
programmed the operator for operation of the
garage door (see point 5). The "START" output
on the SOLAR-HOME-STATION is connected to
the "START" input on the garage door operator
using a two-core lead (4a, 4b and 4d).

Putting into service

For the remote control use a free channel on the
hand transmitter. If no free channel is available,
delete the transmitter that has been tuned into the
operator.

Tuning the hand transmitter into the
SOLAR-HOME-STATION
- Press the PRG button on the SOLAR-HOME-
STATION.
- The LED on the SOLAR-HOME-STATION
flashes.
- Press one of the buttons on the hand transmitter
and keep it pressed.
- As soon as the LED on the SOLAR-HOME-
STATION flashes rapidly, the hand transmitter
has been tuned in.
Repeat the process for any further hand
transmitters. Up to 60 codes can be programmed
in.
Deleting all the programmed-in hand
transmitter codes
- Press the "PRG" button on the SOLAR-HOME-
STATION and keep it pressed for approx. 10
seconds until the LED starts flickering and then

Setting the operator
To set the garage door operator, press the
appropriate button on the hand transmitter. The
SOLAR-HOME-STATION switches the 230V power
supply on. Program the operator in accordance
with the Operating and Installation Instructions.
Attention: after 60 seconds the SOLAR-HOME-
STATION automatically switches off the 230V
power supply. Throughout programming, you
should therefore operate the hand transmitter
every 30 seconds to maintain the 230V power
supply until the process has been completed.
Do not connect the start cable until all the
necessary settings have been made.
Operation
Use the hand transmitter to open and close the
door.
The SOLAR-HOME-STATION first switches on the
230V power supply.
After 2 ½ seconds, the station sends a start
impulse to the operator.
The door automatically travels to the end-of-travel
position.
After 60 seconds, the SOLAR-HOME-STATION
switches the 230V-power supply off again. The
light on the operator goes out.
Changing the accumulator:
We recommend that you buy an additional
accumulator pack so that while one accumulator
pack is in operation, the other can be recharging.
Change the accumulator as explained in 3a, 3b.
Charge the accumulator pack as shown in section
1.
