8.1. Combined safety valve
Before putting into use, check if the outlet of the valve is blocked, and if fl ow to-
wards the open airspace is ensured during the operation of the valve. The out-
let must look downwards. At least every two months, blow off the valve by turn-
ing the blow-off button of the safety valve in the direction indicated by the arrow.
This will clean the valve seat of any possible sand deposit, preventing its adhe-
sion. The leakage of the valve while in operation is a functional phenomenon. If
the leakage does not stop when the heating is switched off , have the appliance
checked by a technician. In such cases, you are advised to request the annual in-
spection of the product, if it is due anyway.
8.2. Discharging of water from the container
After disconnecting the container, the discharging of water can be performed via
the outlet by turning the blow-off knob of the combined safety valve in the di-
rection indicated by the arrow. Before discharging water, close the closing valve
of the water network, and the cold water tap, but leave the hot water tap open
throughout the time of discharging.
8.3. Descaling
After removing the service cover, it is recommended to perform reassembling us-
ing a new sealing. When cleaning, avoid damaging the protective surface fi nish.
Perform mechanical cleaning only; no other cleaning or disinfection is needed.
Descaling is considered to be part of the maintenance, and it does not belong to
the activities covered by guarantee. However, due to the necessity of disconnect-
ing the circuit, putting back into operation must be performed by an authorised
service station (along with the review of the electrical connections).
8.4. Thermostat
This hot water tank is a high-quality, well-built, regulated and verifi ed appliance.
Its sole function is to keep or limit water temperature at a chosen value. The ther-
mostat of the hot water tank is sealed and no re-adjustments or repairs should
be done, for any reason, in addition to those performed at our plant, except for
normal adjustment by turning the knob, which should be performed by a profes-
sional after commissioning and disconnection of the unit. Failure to observe this
provision will cause loss of warranty coverage. In the case of any diffi culty (es-
pecially failure), the thermostat should be simply replaced. The hot water tank
should be handled with care.
To ensure the cost-effi cient use of electricity, the operational temperature of the
hot water tank must be set to app. 65 °C. This will improve its resistance to cor-
rosion and lower the risk of scaling. The P-1 contacts are closed until the set tem-
perature is reached, when the P-2 contacts close. For appliances of type IDExxxS
