Safety rules

Before putting the unit into operation the operating instructions must be read completely and thoroughly
and are to be respected in any case. Afterwards the operating instructions are to be stored in a safe place,
accessible for every user. The system may only be put into operation by persons familiar with its use (pro-
fessionals). Inappropriate use of the system, modification of any kind or combination with inappropriate
other parts may cause material damage, serious hazard to the user's, other persons' or animals' health,
up to death. SATA shall not take any responsibility for such damages (e.g. failure to respect the stipulati-
ons laid out in the operating instructions). The applicable safety, workplace and worker health protection
regulations of the respective country or area/district in which the system is used are to be respected in any
case (e.g. the German rules for the Prevention of Accidents BGR 500 (BGV D25) and BGV D24 issued by
the Central Office of the Professional Trade Associations, etc.)

Putting into operation

Before any putting into operation, especially after each cleaning and repair work, all screws and nuts as
well as the the hardware and hoses must be checked for tightness. During any kind of service and repair
works the filter unit has to be non-pressurized, i.e. disconnected from the air pipe system. Non-obser-
vance of this instruction may lead to damages and injuries, even death. SATA do not take any responsibility
for possible consequences of non-observance. Faulty parts must be repaired or replaced accordingly.
For achieving best possible air quality and highest safety only original replacement parts are to be used.
No sources of ignition (e.g. open flames, burning cigarettes, lamps without ex-protection etc.) may be
present during painting, as easily flammable mixtures are generated during the painting process. Occupa-
tional safety regulations must be applied when painting (respiratory protection, etc.) During repairs, never
immerse filter parts (except sintered bronze filter) in thinner.
The use of this product in explosion hazard areas Zone 0 is prohibited.
