4. The Batteries
• Never charge non-rechargeable batteries.
• Do not throw used batteries into the fire.
• Remove batteries from a device that is not in use.
• Only use batteries and a battery charger recommended by the manufacturer.
• The rechargeable battery built into the helicopter contains chemicals which can be harmful to the environment. Always remove the rechargeable battery prior to
disposing of or taking the helicopter to an official assembly point which will handle it environmentally friendly. Only remove the rechargeable battery when it is
completely drained. Open the device and remove the rechargeable battery.
a. The Transmitter
• Open the battery compartment at the back of the transmitter using an appropriate Phillips screwdriver.
• Insert 1 x 9V battery respecting the polarity.
• Close the battery compartment and tighten the screw.
b. The Helicopter
• Switch off your helicopter and insert the plug of the included battery charger into the charging socket. Connect the battery charger to the mains.
• The green and the red LED will both light during the charging process. The red LED will turn off indicating the battery is fully charged. The helicopter has an autonomy
of ± 5 minutes after a charging period of 30 minutes.
5. Operation
Flying a helicopter is very difficult and needs lots of practice. Practice in a safe environment, i.e. a room of ± 60m³ exempt of air conditioner, fans and other objects.
When flying, remember to stay focused on the helicopter and not to watch your transmitter. It is recommended to read through the instructions below first prior to actually
start flying.
• Switch on your transmitter first.
• Place the helicopter on a large flat surface with the nose facing away from you and any other person. Switch on your helicopter. Make sure both sticks are in neutral
position.
a. Trimming
• Gently push the throttle stick forward so as to lift the helicopter at a height of ± 1m.
• Turn the trim control to the left when the helicopter spirals to the right until the helicopter flies in a
straight line.
• Turn the trim control to the right when the helicopter spirals to the left until the helicopter flies in a
straight line.
b. Taking Off
• Place the helicopter on a large flat surface with the nose facing away from you and any other
person. Switch on your helicopter. Make sure both sticks are in neutral position.
• Push the throttle stick until the helicopter lifts off. Gently reduce or add throttle so as to stabilize
the helicopter.
• Gently release the throttle to land your helicopter.
