FCS II FINS
GONG Boards for Tri-Fin, 2+1, Quad or Tri-Quad are equipped with FCS II Boxes, for better performance and
simplicity.
No need for wrenches or screws, just clip the Fins into the box, first inserting the front part of the Fin into the
groove and then tilting its rear part into the box until it clicks.
Depending on the rocker, there may be a slight gap between the back of the fin's base and the hull. This is
perfectly normal as long as you have clipped the Fin in properly.
When you remove the Fin, tilt the Fin forward, keeping
your Board on a soft surface.
Don't get sand in your wax, don't skid the Board on gravel,
and especially don't press with your knee on the hull.
Put one hand flat on the side of the box and tip the Fin
with the other hand.
Always use a Fin Puller tool or protect your hands from
the sharp edges of the Fin with a towel or poncho. The
risk of cutting is real.
Note that the Fin Puller is supported by the box and
increases its life span.
