You can use this function to search for, add and/or delete
new car models to/from the database.

This new utility has been implemented in order to be able
to add new vehicle manufacturers in a similar way to the
previous function for adding/deleting new models to/from
the database.

5.1.2.4 Database Update

To update the new vehicle models and manufacturers, this
option has been installed in the main menu, so that users
can update these fields automatically, without having to
wait for the new PC version.
The updating procedure is as follows:
• Select the file using the File button.
• Once you have made your selection, click on the Refresh
button.

5.1.3.1 Parameters

To access the different program options you only have to
click on "Options" and then on "Parameters".
In this menu, you can configure the PC software inter-
face language as well as the communications port to be
selected:
• Communications Parameters: The communication port
pull-down menu shows all the ports enabled on the
computer.
These vary from one PC to another depending on the
programs installed.
In our case, before connecting to the TRS5000, you can
check the existing ports in the Communication Port pull-
down menu, and once you have connected the TRS5000
to the PC, select the USB virtual port generated by the
TRS5000, by clicking on the option and clicking on the
"START COMMUNICATION" button.
If the port has been selected correctly the following
message will appear on the TRS5000's display:
JMA TRS-5000
Connected to PC
If this is not the case, check that the TRS-5000 machine is
correctly connected to the PC, as well as the port selected.
The RELOAD COM PORT LIST button enables you to refresh
and force the reloading of the ports activated on the
computer.
The STOP COMMUNICATION button is valid for closing
the USB port generated, because if you exit the program
without having closed the port correctly, when you next
try and connect, the TRS5000 will indicate that the port is
already open.
If the RELOAD COM PORT LIST is kept selected, you get
the same effect by clicking on the Reload Com Port List
button.
• Languages: There are 5 interface languages available:
Italian, English, German, French and Spanish. Once you
have selected the language option required, the menu
interface automatically changes to the language selected.
