General points

1.1
The new TRS-5000 model key copying machine, in addi-
tion to the already existing possibility of copying fixed
code Texas transponders, now offers the possibility of
cloning encrypted code transponders. The machine,
which has been designed taking into account the safety
standards currently in force in the EU, leaves our factory
ready for use and you only need to connect the power
supply to the mains and then to the machine.
If you have any problems starting up the machine, plea-
se get in contact with the Altuna JMA Group's technical
department or customer service department.

Transport and packing

The machine comes protected by polystyrene pac-
king, inside a box with the following dimensions and
weight:
Width = 147.72mm
Length = 176.64mm
Height = 78mm
Weight = 550 g.
When you unpack the machine, check carefully to see
if it has suffered any damage during transportation. If
you find any problems, get in contact with the Altuna
JMA Group's technical department or customer service
department and do not use the machine. It is a good
idea to get the carrier's agent to inspect the machine to
in case it has suffered any damage during transporta-
tion to your address.

The new TRS-5000 copying machine incorporates the
possibility of duplicating and identifying the new trans-
ponders that have recently come onto the market.
Likewise, in the TRS-5000 the option of communica-
tion via USB is available, as the RS232 port has been
enabled for the connection of the new device for cloning
Encrypted Texas transponders.
The TRS-5000 model can be updated easily by sending
files on a CD-Rom by post or by e-mail via the Internet.
Once the user has received the update files, the TRS-5000
must be connected to a personal computer by means of
its USB connection and the files sent downloaded using a
very simple interface program connecting PC<>TRS-5000,
which is supplied in CD format together with the
Machine.
The TRS5000 firmware update files which, depending on
the version present in the device, either have the exten-
sion (.HEX, if the version is 2.00 or earlier) or (.BIN, if it
is later than 2.00). The language change files have the
extension (.TXT).
The PC software, which carries out the PC<>TRS-5000
interface functions, is supplied in an auto-executable
format (setup.exe).
To be able to use the TPXCLONER with versions of
TRS5000 firmware earlier than or the same as 1.06, a
series of specific steps are required which are included
in the TPXCLONER manual, which is enclosed if you pur-
chase that device.
Elements making up the machine
2.1
After unpacking the TRS-5000 copying machine, you
should find the following components:
• 00-240 Vac / 50-60 Hz and 12V /450mA power supply.
• 1.5 m long type A-B USB cable to interconnect PC€TRS
5000.
• CD with the PC Software to operate in the WINDOWS
environment, and carry out the PC€TRS 5000 interface
functions, when the PC is connected to the TRS-5000.
