The modules can be connected in series.
Maximum total rating of the module contacts: 2 A.
In the case of a higher rating separate circuits must be formed.
The auxiliary voltage must feature a safe separation to PELV.
Addressing
Assign an address between 01 and 31. At the moment of delivery the
address is 0.
A Addressing with the addressing unit
Connect the addressing unit with the terminals A+ and A-, remove
the addressing plug and assign the desired address.
B Automatic addressing with the ifm AS-i controller
All present slaves must be projected. Connect the module with the
controller (function MULTIPLE AUTO ADDRESS = ON). Remove the
addressing plug. The lowest available address is used.
Automatic addressing of several modules: Remove the addressing
plugs one after the other. The modules are addressed in rising order.
C Addressing via AS-i software
Connect the module and assign the desired address.
Caution! If you address several modules, only one module with the
address 0 may be present on the AS-i network, and so all addressing
plugs must first be inserted. Remove the plug from the 1st module and
address it, remove the plug from the 2nd module and address it, etc.
Operation
• The green LED is lit: voltage supply ok
• The red LED is lit: output is short-circuited. The output is disconnec-
ted. Reset by turning off and turning on again the external voltage
supply for the actuators.
• The short circuit is not indicated to the AS-i master.
