Remove the iso-strip

The battery is already inserted at delivery and furnished with an iso-strip to protect
it from discharging prematurely. In order to activate the scales, you must remove the
isostrip. The battery compartment is located on the underside of the device.
1. Push the locking tab slightly towards the middle of the scales and remove the
battery compartment cover.
2. Pull the iso-strip out.
3. Replace the battery compartment cover.

Inserting/changing battery

To use the scales, a type CR2032, 3V battery is required.
1. Press the locking tab in the direction of the battery compartment cover and remove
the battery compartment cover, which is labelled with OPEN.
2. Push the battery against the contact spring and slide it under the large, square
retaining tab. The battery then snaps into place under the opposite retaining tab.
Pay attention to the correct polarity (+/-). The plus pole (+) for both batteries must
point upwards.
3. Put the battery compartment cover back in place. The locking tab must snap
securely into place.
Notes on changing the battery:
‚ A change of batteries becomes necessary when
display, or when nothing at all is displayed.
‚ Only use the type of battery that is specified in the "Technical Data".
‚ Dispose of batteries in an environmentally appropriate way (see
"Disposal")
