Operation
Using both the thruster and the starter battery is
always possible regardless the position of the
switches at the operating panel.
Also all batteries will being charged by the alternator
if the engine is running. This is indicated at the oper-
ating panel by the LED 'ALTERNATOR'. Also a bat-
tery charger/inverter can be used. Changing from
inverter operation to charging is possible depending
on the presence of power via a shore supply or a
generator set.
Note: Only the auxiliary battery is connected to
the battery charger/inverter.

The function of switches and LED's

Whether a switch is switched on or not is indicated by a check light (LED) directly posi-
tioned next to a switch.
PANEL-Switch-1
The 'PANEL' switch is the main switch for all the other functions of the panel except
for the 'RELAY' switch and for the alternator charge monitoring light.
Switch the 'PANEL' switch to the 'ON' position; the voltage of each of the three batteries
will be displayed automatic by time interval of 3 secs on the digital LCD voltmeter.
When leaving the ship switch the 'PANEL' switch and the 'RELAY' switch to 'OFF'; the
switch 'ALARM' can remain in the desired position. The battery watch will no longer con-
sume power and also the consumers of the auxiliary battery are unable to consume power.
When re-entering the ship switch on both the 'PANEL' and the 'RELAY' switch; the unit is
again fully operational.
Under voltage watch
If one or more of the batteries is discharged to less 11 Volt resp. 22.5 Volt the LED 'ALARM'
will light up and the buzzer will be activated. See also 'ALARM'.
RELAY-Switch -2
Switch the 'RELAY' switch to 'ON' and the relay of the battery watch will be switched on.
Auxiliaries connected to the '+CONSUMERS' terminal are now, independent of the posi-
tion of the 'PANEL' switch, connected to the auxilliary battery.
