6.2 Installation of "Unibox TQ RTL
vario"
The "Unibox TQ RTL vario" must
always be located at the end of the
surface temperature balance circuit
(see 3.3 on page 30).

1. Create a branch off from the supply pipe of
the two pipe heating system.
2. Lay the temperature balance circuit.
Lay the heating circuit in a spiral
pattern to achieve an even heat
distribution.
3. Remove the protection cover of the valve
and the front cover of the pipe conduit unit
and insert the "Unibox TQ RTL vario" into
the pipe conduit unit. Refit the protection
cover and front cover after commissioning.

4. Use the enclosed elbow brackets (see 1.2
on page 27) to align and fix the "Unibox
TQ RTL vario" in the pipe conduit unit.

5. Connect the pipework of the surface tem-
perature balance circuit to the "Unibox TQ
RTL vario".
Observe the marked flow direction.
6. Establish a connection pipe between the
"Unibox TQ RTL vario" and the two pipe
heating system return.
7.
Commissioning
7.1 Filling, bleeding and leak
testing
1. Fill the heating system.
2. Bleed the heating system (e.g. using the
valve on the "Unibox TQ RTL vario").
3. Open the "QA" valve insert completely.
4. Carry out a leakage test in accordance with
DIN EN 1264.
5. Reposition the protection cover of the
"Unibox TQ RTL vario" (see Illustr. 1 on
page 27) and the front cover of the pipe
conduit unit.
