5. INSTALLATION OF CHILD SEAT. GROUP 1.
WARNING
1. Check that the height of the harness straps is appropriate. The
child's shoulders should be just below the harness slots (5.1). In the
highest position (Pos.3), the harness must pass through the seat
belt guide area (5.2).
2. Slacken the harness straps pulling the chest portion of the straps
while pressing the harness adjustment button (5.3).
3. Open the buckle (to facilitate placing the child in the seat you can
place the harness straps on the armrest (5.4) and place the child in
the seat. Closet he buckle as indicated by fig. 5.5 and 5.6 until you
hear a "Click".
4. Stretch the harness adjustment tape to give the harness the
correct tension (5.7). Remember that to ensure the child's safety
the harnesses must be securely fastened.
6. ADJUST THE HARNESS TO THE HEIGHT OF THE CHILD. GROUP 1.
WARNING
1. To change the position of the harness you must remove the chest
straps of the harness connector from the back of the seat (6.1 &
6.2).
2. Stretch the chest tapes round the front of the seat until all the tape
is out (6.3).
3. Reposition the harness depending on the child's height. Remember
that the correct position is defined in fig. 5.2. Do not forget to also
change the height of the shoulder protectors (6.4).
4. Reattach the chest tapes to the harness connector (6.5 & 6.6).
5. ATTENTION. When using the highest harness position you must
remove the reducing gear and move the position of the buckle.
Remove the metal plate located on the bottom of the seat and
reposition the buckle assembly (6.7, 6.8, 6.9 & 6.10).
