3. Plug the mains plug into an easily
accessible plug socket.
4. Move the main switch (5) to position I.
A beep is heard and the operating
lamp (13) fl ashes alternately red-
green-blue. The device is in stand-by
mode.
5. Select smoothing mode (see the
"Functions" chapter) and press the

button (14) to start the device. A
beep is heard and the operating lamp
pulsates.
6. Allow the device to run for approx.
10 minutes and then stop it manually
(press the button

tion 0 and pull the mains plug out of
the plug socket.
8. Allow the device to cool down com-
pletely.
9. Remove the water tank and thorough-
ly rinse it out.
10. Open the drain valve on the back of

TROUBLESHOOTING

If the device does not work properly,
check whether you are able to rectify the
problem yourself. If the problem cannot
be solved with the steps below, contact
the customer service department.
Do not attempt to repair an elec-
trical device yourself!
The device does not work, the oper-
ating lamp (13) does not light up.
The mains plug is not inserted in the plug
socket correctly.
► Correct the fit.
The plug socket is defective.
► Try another plug socket.
The device has not been switched on via
the main switch (5).
► Switch on the device.
The device suddenly switches off.
The ventilation slots (18) are covered up
or blocked.
► Clear any dust or foreign objects
from the ventilation slots.
The device has an automatic safety
switch-off function. It switches off auto-
matically if it overheats.
► Allow the device to cool down and
switch it on again.
Odour produced
You might notice a slight odour caused
by production residues the fi rst time you
use the device. However, this is harmless
and will cease as you use the device.
► Make sure that the room is well
ventilated.
