TIPS AND HINTS

For optimum results, we recommend
always drying, smoothing or freshen-
ing up just 3 items of clothing rather
than 5 at the same time.
The duration of the drying and
smoothing modes may vary depend-
ing on the material and thickness
of the material used in the items of
clothing. We recommend checking
from time to time how dry or smooth
the items of clothing already are and
manually altering or ending the mode
if necessary.
Buttons which are spaced well apart
may cause the button strip to curl
slightly during smoothing. Here it is
advisable to smooth the button strip
again by hand directly after smooth-
ing.
When folding up the device, turn the
lid (3) with the fabric cover attached
1 – 2 times so that the fabric cover is
turned in. This makes it easier to store
the fabric cover in the main device (4).

CLEANING AND STORAGE

Please Note!
No liquid must get into the device
(with the exception of the water tank).
Never immerse the main device in
water!
Do not use any sharp or abrasive
cleaning agents or cleaning pads to
clean the device. These may damage
the surfaces.
Regularly wipe down the device with
a damp cloth and a little mild cleaning
agent if required. Then thoroughly
dry it.
If smoothing mode has been used, af-
ter the process pull the water collect-
ing tray on the back out of the main

device (4) and empty it. Condensation
may have collected in it.
In addition, open the drain valve on
the back of the main device: to do
this turn • to position
container underneath and allow the
water to run out of the boiler (Illustra-
tion H).
The water tank (17) and the boiler
should regularly be descaled if tap
water is used (see the "Descaling"
chapter).
Allow all parts to dry completely be-
fore storing them away.
If there is any water remaining in the
water tank, remove it before the de-
vice is stored away. To do this, open
the drain valve on the back of the
main device: turn • to position
Place a container underneath and al-
low the water to run out of the boiler
(Illustration H).
Store the device ideally disassembled
and folded up in a clean, dry place
so that it is protected from sunlight
and is out of the reach of children and
animals.

DESCALING

Limescale deposits cause power losses
and shorten the lifespan of the device.
The thicker a limescale layer is, the more
diffi cult it is to remove.
We therefore recommend regularly
removing limescale deposits with a des-
caling agent in accordance with the water
quality in your area and how often the de-
vice is used (approx. every 4 – 6 weeks).
1. Remove the limescale fi lter from the
water tank (17) and fi ll the water tank
with a concentrate/water solution of
no more than 1:20 (one part con-
centrate to 20 parts water) (see the
"Filling the Water Tank" chapter).
2. Insert the water tank into the main
device (4).
