1.4 MACHINE OPERATORS
CAUTION! For safety purposes, this machine should be used by skilled staff only, aware of the instruc tions
contained in this manual, which forms an integral part of the machine.
This machine has been designed for operation by a single person, assisted by another operator if needed.
The operator must ensure that the assistant works in accordance with safety standards.
Basic technical and mechanical skills are required to correctly operate the machine and carry out maintenance
and basic servicing.
1.5 DIRECTIONS / RECOMMENDED AND NOT RECOMMENDED USE
This machine should be exclusively used for honey extraction from frames.
1.6 HANDLING / TRANSPORT
The machine is factory stabilized and does not therefore require any special loading or handling precautions.
Before lifting on lift truck forks, the machine should be placed on a pallet.
If the machine has to be secured with ropes, protect the rope sliding areas to prevent the risk of tank
deformation or lid damaging.
1.7 INSTALLATION
Although this is not strictly necessary, the machine can be anchored to the floor or a base through the holes
provided in its support feet.
During work, the control panel should be covered with a clear plastic sheet allowing the controls to be used
while preventing honey splash from reaching the panel.
We advise leaving a free area with a radius of approximately one meter around the extractor to allow
unhindered operation.
1.8 DESCRIPTION
The honey extractor comes equipped with an approximately 3 m long electric cable. The machine should only
be connect to line power via an electric socket up to safety standards, with a connection value exceeding the
total machine absorption value (750W) specified in the machine data sheet.
For extra safety, always provide a differential switch with 30mA release current upstream from the machine;
the electric line must be protected by a 16A automatic valve.
Materials
The honey extractor tank is made from AISI304 stainless steel, with a conical bottom allowing full discharge
through the special honey gate. The honey extractor top bar is entirely made of stainless steel.
The machine comes equipped with two half-lids hinged to the bar to prevent tiny droplet atomisation in the
working environment.
An especially interesting feature is the position of the motor unit under the extractor.
This allows cage speed to be adjusted by the operator according to the load of honey in the extractor, through
a speed variator and relevant control keypad located on the control panel.
