1 Carry out a pre-use check (See page 12).
2 Remove all items from your pockets and any hanging items (such as key
clips etc.) to ensure that no items are positioned between the webbing and
your body.
3 Undo the quick release buckles fitted to the chest and leg straps
(See Figure 10).
4 Put arms through the shoulder straps and connect chest buckle (A)
(See Figure 11).
5 The chest strap should be squarely in line with your sternum (breast bone)
(See Figure 12).
6 The connection point on the descent device should be positioned squarely
between your shoulder blades.
Note: If adjustment of the shoulder straps is required, remove the harness
and undo the zips on either side of the backpack (See Figure 13). Adjust
the shoulder straps by sliding the shoulder strap adjustment buckles and
cross strap buckle (where the shoulder straps cross). Check adjustment by
continuing to try on the harness until the chest strap and connection point
are correctly positioned.
7 Connect the leg buckles (B) (See Figure 11). Adjust the leg strap
by pulling the straps through the buckles and adjusting as necessary to
achieve a snug fit (See Figure 14).
