Installation
•  C heckthatthemaximuminletpressureisnot
higherthanthedesignpressureoftheregula-
tor .
•  R egulatorshouldbeliftedonlywithbeltsaround
thebody .
•  A rrange enough room for the serving of the
regulator .
Before installing the pressure regulator in the
piping,thefollowingmustbechecked:
•  T he upstream and downstream flanges must
beparallelsoastoinstalltheregulatorwithout
unduestress .
•  T heupstreampipingmustbecleanedfromall
impurities(sand,weldingslag,etc . )
•  T he pressure regulator must not be visibly
damaged .
•  T heinletandoutletchambersofthepressure
regulatormustbeperfectlyclean .
•  M akesurethatthedirectionofgasflowcorre-
spondstothearrowonthepressureregulator
body .

Installation position

•  T heinstallationpositionisfreelyselectable .
Sensing line
•  T hesensinglineisn'tnecessaryofinternalpulse
(<4 . 0 bar)
•  F orexternalpulse(>4,0bar),thesensingline
mustbeconnectedtoasectionreasonablyfree
fromturbulences,preferablyinastraightsec-
tionofthedownstreampiping(approx .  5D) .
•  C onnection:G1/2"/EO-12(Regulator)

Start up- Instructions
•  T ostart-uptheregulatorafterinstallationprop-
erly,proceedasfollows:
•  C heck that the upstream- and downstream
valvesareclosed;
•  O pentheupstreamvalveslowly;
•  R esettheshut-offvalve(seealsopage15);
•  C heckthatthedownstreampressureisrising
slowly on the downstream side manometer,
the downstream pressure should stop at the
closingpressure;
•  O penthedownstreamvalvesslowlytocontrol
theevenflow .
Regulator- and SSV-set point
•  T he regulator is delivered according to the
specifications,specifiedinthepurchaseorder . 
Iftheadjustedoutlet-/SSVshutoff-pressure
istobechanged,proceedasfollows:
•  I ncreasing the outlet- / shut-off pressure: 
Theadjustingscrewistoturnclockwise;
•  D ecreasing the outlet- / shut-off pressure:
 Theadjustingscrewistoturnanti-clockwise .
