D Pump option: No cleaning solution or water may be pumped with the pump! Residual water may other
wise remain in the pump and the drain hose! During operation, this may cause heavy splattering, foam
ing and overflowing of the bowl and to grease explosions!
D Do not let any liquids run into the cooking-oil/-grease.
D If the deep frying-process is interrupted or ended, and there is still hot cooking-oil/-grease in the bowl,
the bowl must be covered with an appropriate lid. This will prevent persons from accidentally reaching
into the bowl, i.e. if they were to slip.
D Whilst cleaning of the deep fat fryers themselves is in progress, or any cleaning is being undertaken in
their vicinity, they should never be switched on. Under no circumstances may water be mixed with fry
ing oil in the basin or vat. This would result in dangerous splashing, frothing, overflowing of the basin or
explosion of the fat.
Risk of fire
D If the minimum fill level is not reached, there is the risk of fire!
Therefore regularly check the level and add any shortfall of cooking-oil or -grease. Pay attention to the
marks showing minimum- and maximum-fill levels!
D Do not use cooking-oil/-grease which has been soiled by food or spices. It can ignite even within the
temperatures set by the appliance and can froth over.
D As a user of this appliance, you must learn where the site's fuse box is located for the appliances you
operate. In case of a fire, you will be able to safely shut the appliance off.
Fire safety
D Approved extinguishers for food oil and grease fires as well as a deep fat fryer lid must be available to
fight fires. Water from sprinkler systems must not get into the fat.
D Never try and extinguish burning oil or fat with water! If water gets into the hot cooking oil/cooking fat
an explosion will occur! Only use extinguishers approved for cooking oil and cooking fat fires!
Risk of damage
D Do not use any caustic or acid cleaning agents on the frying basket and heater; this may destroy the
corrosion protection and cause danger of rusting!
D Do not spray off or clean the appliance with water hoses, high-pressure cleaners, high-pressure steam
cleaners or general steam cleaners.
D Do not spray foam cleaner on front panels and appliance panels. The foam cleaner gets into the smal
lest of cracks and destroys the electrical and electronic systems.
D Pump option: Switch on the pump only when the container contains frying-oil and the filling tube is
plugged on. Do not let the pump run dry!
D If the appliance has not been used for some time, have customer service check it for correct operation.
Determination and assessment of hazards in accordance with the German Health and Safety at
Work Act
D According to the German Health and Safety at Work Act, the employer must assess what hazards are
present for those occupied in the work and what health and safety measures are necessary. Observe
the information supplied by the employers' liability insurance association for commercial kitchens.
D The employer must specify and provide the personal protective equipment.
