INSTRUCTIONS FOR FIRST TIME USE
This appliance is only for household use or environments of a similar character such
as :
kitchens that are used by personnel of shops, office or other similar professional
environments.
Farms
Hotel rooms and motel rooms and other similar environments with a residential
character.
Bed and breakfast or similar.
Attention : this appliance may not be used with an external timer or seperate remote
control.
This devise is not for use by persons, including children, with any kind of impairment,
such as, physical, sensorial or mental incapacity. These persons are also not permitted
to use the devise if they have limited experience or insufficient knowledge, unless they
have received the necessary instructions for use or are otherwise being supervised by
people ensuring their safety. Make sure that children cannot play with the devise.
Read the entire manual before using the appliance.
Hot oil can cause severe burns. The appliance is hot during use and remains hot for
some time even after you have turned it off. Do not touch hot surfaces or the oil
reservoir and do not move the appliance during use.
Do not immerse the appliance or any parts from it in water.
Always use the specified amount of oil, do not use cooking fat. Do not use the oil
reservoir for other purposes and use the appliance only for the purpose it is intended.
Connect the appliance only to an earthed electrical plug socket with the correct
voltage.
The appliance is suitable for indoor use only.
Do not let the electric lead hang over the edge of the table or come into contact with
hot surfaces. Do not place, and use, the appliance on the edge of a table. Place the
appliance on a heat resistant surface and not near an electric or gas burner or heated
oven. Do not place flammable objects close to the appliance.
CAUTION: If the hot oil catches on fire, pull the plug from the electric socket and
close the lid. NEVER use water to extinguish the fire.
To switch the appliance off, turn the dial to position "0" and then pull the plug out of
the electric socket.
Wet food should be dried before it is used. Remove ice from frozen food.
Close the lid when you prepare food. Place the basket with food gently into the hot oil
to keep splashing to a minimum.
Make sure that the amount of oil is always between the MAX and MIN markings.
Never use too much or too little oil!
Pull the plug from the electric socket and let the appliance cool down before pouring
the oil out of the appliance and cleaning it. Do not leave water drops on the appliance
or the lid.
