Î Disconnect the mains plug before carrying out
any work on the walk-behind system and the
diamond channel cutter.
6.1 Preparing the diamond channel
cutter for mounting onto the
walk­behind system
Dismantle the front handle of the diamond channel
cutter:
•
3 Unscrew the handle (1).
•
Remove the hexagon bolt M8 (2) from the

protective hood of the diamond channel cutter
and keep in a safe place.
NOTE
Keep the hexagon bolt M8, it is needed to fix the
walk-behind system onto the protective hood of the
diamond channel cutter.
6.2 Preparing the walk­behind
system for holding the diamond
channel cutter
•
4 / 5 Remove the hexagon nut M8 (2) and
mushroom head bolt M8 (1) or hexagon bolt
M8 (1) from the retainer for the protective hood.
•
6 Unscrew both hexagon socket head bolts (1)
from the bracket (2) for retaining the rear handle
of the diamond channel cutter.
•
Undo the hexagon nut M8 (5) on the switch

presser (4); at the same time, hold the hexagon
nut (3) in position.
•
Swing the switch presser (4) upwards.

1 Undo the clamping lever (6) on the adjustable
tube (19).
6.3 Mounting the walk­behind
system on the diamond channel
cutter
BDN 452, BDN 453, BDN 454, BDN 455,
BDN 463 / 4, BDN 464 / 4 or BDN 466 / 6
•
7 Position the protective hood (3) between the
angle bracket, right (5) and the flat bracket (1).
•
7 Push the hexagon bolt M8 (2) through the flat
bracket (1), the protective hood (3) and the angle
bracket, right (5).
•
7 Screw the hexagon nut M8 (4) onto the
hexagon bolt (2) and tighten slightly.

•
8 Position the protective hood (3) between the
angle bracket, right (5) and the angle bracket,
left (1).
•
8 Push the mushroom head bolt M8 or
hexagon bolt M8 (2) through the two angle
brackets (1) / (5) and the protective hood (3).
•
8 Screw the hexagon nut M8 (4) onto the mush-
room head bolt M8 (2) or hexagon bolt M8 (2)
and tighten slightly.
All diamond channel cutters
•
Push the bracket (2) completely onto the rear

handle of the diamond channel cutter.
•
9 Screw both hexagon socket head bolts (1)
into the bracket (3) and tighten (tightening
torque: between 20 and 25 Nm).
•
Push in the ON / OFF switch of the diamond
channel cutter and hold.
•
9 Switch the switch presser (4) onto the
ON / OFF switch of the diamond channel cutter.
The ON / OFF switch must be pressed in.
•
Tighten the hexagon nut M8 (5) of the switch

presser (4); at the same time, hold the hexagon
nut (3) in position (tightening torque: between
20 and 25 Nm).
•
7 / 8 Tighten the hexagon nut M8 (4) on the
mushroom head bolt (2) or the hexagon bolt (2)
(tightening torque: between 20 and 25 Nm).
