Possible Settings in Motorola**
Digital OperationBefore using the LokSound®
in Motorola** digital operation the dip switches
1 and 2 at the back of the Märklin* 6021 base
station must be set to "ON". In order to ensure
that this change-over is effective, the base station
must be reset (press the "Stop" and "Go" keys si-
multaneously until the display goes out and "99"
appears briefly, then press "Stop" separately and
"Go" again). An additional direction arrow in the
display indicates that operation is currently in the
Motorola** new format required here.For the In-
tellibox the address used must also be specified
in the "Motorola** new format" for the sound
operation of the decoder.For comparability with
the DCC parameters the Motor-ola** parameters
are given in the same order (the order of the re-
gister numbers is thus not continually increasing):
The Registers correspondent with the CV'sFor the
preset factory values please see the informa-tion
sheet enclosed with the locomotive or decoder.
For programming the Motorola** Register
• the drive controller should be set to "0"
• remove all locomotives from the layout except
those you wish to program or place the locomotive
to be programmed on the Intellibox programming
track (the addresses must be set to the Motoro-
la** new format on the Intellibox; programming
takes place in accordance with the Intellibox in-
structions for DCC decoders.
• During programming please pay attention to the
various long and high tones during the program-
ming process.

Trigger a reset (press "Stop" and "Go"
simul-taneously for a few seconds).

Enter two-digit locomotive address or
"80"

Press travel direction selector, keep
depressed and also press "Go":The
decoder is in the programming mode
and is waiting for the register number
to be entered: short, low tones at long
intervals.

Enter two-digit register number (CV).

Press travel direction selector:The
decoder is waiting for a value to be
entered: combination of long/short
tones in quick succession.

Enter two-digit value.

Press travel direction selector: The
decoder first confirms the value has
been entered with a long, high tone.
This is followed by short, low tones
at long intervals as it waits for a new
register number to be re-entered.

Either reprogram the desired next register
with steps No. 5 to 8 or enter "80" for the
end of programming.
