oder Wasser.
Werden die Geräte zweckentfremdet, nicht richtig
angeschlossen, falsch bedient oder nicht fachge-
recht repariert, kann für eventuelle Schäden keine
Haftung übernommen werden.
Sollen die Geräte endgültig aus dem Betrieb ge-
nommen werden, übergeben Sie sie zur Entsor-
gung einem örtlichen Recyclingbetrieb.
3 Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Das Set IMS-800SET ist ein drahtloses Audio-Über-
tragungssystem, das für Monitoranwendungen auf
der Bühne konzipiert ist (In-Ear-Monitoring). Durch
die drahtlose Übertragung des Audiosignals zur
Bühne behält der Musiker seine Bewegungsfreiheit.
Das Set besteht aus einem stationären Sender mit
separatem Netzgerät, einem tragbaren Empfänger
(Modell IMS-800R – zur Systemerweiterung auch
optional als Einzelartikel erhältlich) und einem Ste-
reo-Ohrhörer.
3.1 Zulassung
Die Zulassung für das drahtlose Übertragungssy-
stem IMS-800SET ist nach der R + TTE-Richtlinie
(Radio and Telecommunication Technical Equip-
ment) in den Staaten der Europäischen Union gültig.
Für den Betrieb in Staaten außerhalb der EU fragen
Sie bitte Ihren Fachhändler oder die MONACOR-
Niederlassung des entsprechenden Landes.
In der Bundesrepublik Deutschland ist der Fre-
quenzbereich 863 – 865 MHz für den Betrieb von
drahtlosen Audio-Übertragungssystemen freigege-
ben. Da dieser Frequenzbereich in anderen Län-
dern der EU für diesen Anwendungszweck mögli-
cherweise nicht zur Verfügung steht, informieren Sie
sich bei Betrieb des Systems außerhalb Deutsch-
lands bitte bei Ihrem Fachhändler oder bei der ent-
sprechenden Behörde des Landes.

3 Applications
The set IMS-800SET is a wireless audio transmission
system designed for monitoring applications on stage
(in-ear monitoring). The wireless transmission of the
audio signal to the stage ensures the musician's free-
dom of movement. The set consists of a stationary
transmitter with a separate power supply unit, a port-
able receiver (model IMS-800R – which can also be
ordered separately as an individual article to extend
the system), and stereo earphones.
3.1 Approval
According to the R + TTE regulation (Radio and Tele-
communication Technical Equipment), the approval
of the wireless transmission system IMS-800SET is
valid in the countries of the European Union. For
operation in countries outside the EU, please contact
your retailer or the MONACOR subsidiary in the
country where this system will be operated.
In the Federal Republic of Germany, the frequency
range of 863 MHz to 865 MHz has been approved for
the operation of wireless audio transmission systems.
As it is possible that this frequency range for this field
of application is not available in other countries of the
EU, please contact your retailer or the corresponding
authorities of the particular country if the system is
operated outside the Federal Republic of Germany.
4 Inbetriebnahme
4.1 Sender
4.1.1 Sender aufstellen
Der Sender ist als Tischgerät oder für den Einschub
in ein Rack (482 mm/19") vorgesehen. Für den
Rack-Einbau die beiden beiliegenden Montagewin-
kel links und rechts am Sendergehäuse anschrau-
ben. Im Rack wird für den Einbau eine Höhe von
1 HE (1 Höheneinheit = 44,5 mm) benötigt.
Die beste Übertragungsqualität erhält man, wenn
der Sender in Höhe des Empfängers plaziert wird
(ca. 1 m über dem Boden). Er sollte auch ca. 1 m
Abstand zu seitlichen Wänden haben.
4.1.2 Sender anschließen
1) Zur Stromversorgung das beiliegende Stecker-
netzgerät mit der Buchse DC INPUT (10) ver-
binden und in eine Steckdose (230 V~/50 Hz)
stecken.
Zum netzunabhängigen Betrieb kann der Sen-
der aber auch über eine 12-V-Batterie (z. B. Auto-
batterie) versorgt werden. Für den Anschluß wird
ein Kleinspannungsstecker 5,0/2,1 mm (Außen-/
Innendurchmesser) benötigt. Dabei unbedingt auf
die richtige Polarität achten: Den Pluspol an den
Innenkontakt des Steckers anlegen.
2) Zum Anschluß der Audioquelle besitzt der Sen-
der zwei Eingänge:
kombinierte XLR-/6,3-mm-Klinkenbuchse (14):
zum Anschluß eines symmetrisch beschalte-
ten Mikrofons; Anschluß wahlweise über einen
XLR-Stecker oder über einen 6,3-mm-Klinken-
stecker möglich
Cinch-Buchsen (11) Links (L)/ Rechts (R)
zum Anschluß einer Stereo-Signalquelle (z. B.
Mischpult, Tonbandgerät) bzw. von zwei Mono-
Signalquellen (z. B. zwei Mono-Ausgänge ei-
nes Mischpults)
Die jeweilige(n) Audioquelle(n) an den entspre-
chenden Eingang anschließen.
4 Setting the System into Operation
4.1 Transmitter
4.1.1 Setting up the transmitter
The transmitter is designed for use as a table top
unit or for insertion into a rack (482 mm/19"). For
rack installation, screw the two supplied mounting
brackets to the left and the right sides of the trans-
mitter housing. A height of 1 rack space (44.5 mm) is
required for rack installation.
The best transmission quality is obtained when
the transmitter is placed at the height of the receiver
(approx. 1 m above the ground). It should also have
a distance of approx. 1 m from lateral walls.
4.1.2 Connecting the transmitter
1) For power supply, connect the delivered plug-in
power supply unit to the jack DC INPUT (10) and
to a mains socket (230 V~/50 Hz).
For operation independent of the mains supply,
power supply of the transmitter is also possible via
a 12 V battery (e. g. car battery). For connection, a
low voltage plug 5.0/2.1 mm (outside/inside diam-
eter) is required. Observe the correct polarity in
any case: The positive pole must be applied to the
inner contact of the plug.
2) The transmitter is equipped with two inputs to
connect the audio source:
combined XLR jack/6.3 mm jack (14):
to connect a balanced microphone; connection
alternatively via an XLR plug or via a 6.3 mm
plug
phono jacks (11) Left (L)/Right (L)
to connect a stereo signal source (e. g. mixer,
tape recorder) or two mono signal sources
(e. g. two mono outputs of a mixer)
Connect the respective audio source(s) to the
corresponding input.
3) To monitor the audio signal directly on the trans-
mitter, it is possible to connect stereo head-

4.1.3 Einstellungen für den Cinch-Eingang (11)
1) Mit dem Umschalter (12) die Empfindlichkeit des
Cinch-Eingangs auswählen. Je nachdem, wel-
chen Ausgangspegel das angeschlossene Gerät
hat, die passende Schalterposition einstellen.
Bei einem Gerät mit Line-Ausgangspegel (z. B.
Mischpult, CD-Spieler, Tonbandgerät):
Position 1 (MIXER/CD PLAYER):
600 mV/40 kΩ; max. Eingangspegel 2 V
Position 2 (CASSETTE PLAYER):
130 mV/40 kΩ; max. Eingangspegel 420 mV
Position 3 (RADIO TUNER):
150 mV/40 kΩ; max. Eingangspegel 500 mV
Bei einem Gerät mit niedrigerem Ausgangspegel:
Position 4 (AUX INPUT):
50 mV/27 kΩ; max. Eingangspegel 170 mV
2) Der Cinch-Eingang läßt sich mit dem Umschalter
(13) wahlweise auf mono oder stereo einstellen.

4.2 Empfänger
4.2.1 Stromversorgung des Empfängers
Den Deckel des Batteriefachs (24) nach oben klap-
pen. Eine 9-V-Batterie gemäß dem Aufdruck im Bat-
teriefach einsetzen (Abb. 4). Mit einer frischen Alka-
line-Batterie kann der Empfänger bis zu 6 Stunden
betrieben werden.
Wird der Empfänger längere Zeit nicht benutzt
(z. B. länger als eine Woche), sollte die Batterie her-
ausgenommen werden, um Schäden des Gerätes

For a unit with lower output level:
position 4 (AUX INPUT):
50 mV/27 kΩ; max. input level 170 mV
2) By means of the selector switch (13), the phono
input can be alternatively set to mono or stereo.

4.2 Receiver
4.2.1 Power supply of the receiver
Fold up the cover of the battery compartment (24).
Insert a 9 V battery as printed in the battery com-
partment (fig. 4). With a new alkaline battery, the
receiver can be operated for up to 6 hours.
If the receiver is not used for a longer period (e. g.
more than a week), the battery should be removed to
prevent damage to the unit in case of battery leakage.
Exhausted batteries or defective rechargeable
batteries do not belong in the household rubbish:
Always take them to special waste disposal (e. g.
collective container at your retailer).
