1.5.2 Identification as "combustible

dusts"

The transducer with identification
Ex tD A zone 22 category 3D IP67
T85°C X fulfills the requirements for
electrical equipment for use in areas
with combustible dust in
accordance with EN 60079-31.
Compliance is confirmed with the
declaration of conformity under the
manufacturer's own responsibility.
The applicable safety regulations and
standard requirements must be
observed during selection, set-up,
and operation.
1.5.3 IECEx certificate of
conformity
The transducers have been ap-
proved by the Physikalisch-
Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB)
with certificate number
IECEx PTB 11.0035X. The current
issue of the certificate and further
information can be found in the
"Certified Equipment Scheme"
section at www.iecex.com. The
certificate number is indicated on
the part label.
In addition to the IECEx
requirements, the transducer has
been authenticated with Korea
Certification under certificate
number 13-AV4BO-0631.

1.5.4 Special conditions

Symbol "X"

The "X" symbol indicates special
condit4ions which must be ob-
served for safe use:
– Extended ambient temperature
range –40°C to +60°C
– Impact resistance test up to 4
Joules for low mechanical sus-
ceptibility
– The outer rod is to be protected
from wear and damage
– The connection cable must be
routed in a permanent location
and sufficiently protected
against damage. An additional
clamp must protect against
tension and rotary loads
– The exposed wire ends must
be connected outside the haz-
ardous zone or within an ap-
proved housing

1.5.5 Operator documents

Zone classification in the system
is the responsibility of the operator
and must be documented in an
explosion protection document in
accordance with Directive 1999/
92/EC.
We expressly recommend includ-
ing the user's guide in the
operator's documentation. For
safety reasons, it must be taken
over completely and without any
changes.
