1. Place the lawnmower on a part of the lawn with little
grass and with the height setting control (position E) in
the top position.
2. First press and hold the start button (position B).
3. Then pull the safety grip towards you.
4. Hold the start button in and release once the lawn-
mower starts. The lawnmower will then run as long as
the safety grip is held in.
5. If you want to stop the lawnmower, release the safety
grip.
Mow at a gentle, even pace. Be careful to ensure you
do not run over the cable. If this happens, remove
it from the wall socket immediately and change the
cable. Always try to mow away from the cable to avoid
accidents with it.
Do not mow unnecessarily short, as this increases
the risk of the grass drying out. It will also be more dif-
fi cult for the grass cuttings to penetrate into the lawn. If
for any reason the grass has grown too high, fi rst mow
at a higher height and then a few days later at normal
height.
Always mow with a sharp blade. A blunt blade gives
an uneven cut and the grass will yellow on the cutting
surface. It also takes more energy to mow using blunt
blades and the lawnmower will not mow at its best.
NB! In order to prevent the engine starting accidentally,
always remove the power cable when servicing the
machine.
Care regulations
The machine should be taken to an authorised Klippo
service workshop after each season. Keep the machine
clean and dry both underneath and on top. Use a
brush. Do not rinse with water or use a high-pressure
cleaner. Brush off the grass immediately before it dries.
Tighten all the attachment bolts occasionally. A
routine servicing is recommended every 50 hours of
operation to ensure professional operation.
If the cable on the lawnmower has been damaged,
it must be replaced at an authorised Klippo service
workshop. Only use original Klippo spare parts and ac-
cessories.

STARTING, OPERATING AND STOPPING THE ENGINE

USER INSTRUCTIONS

MAINTENANCE AND SERVICING

The lawnmower is equipped with an overload fuse to
protect the engine. If this trips out, wait a few minutes
until it starts again. Remove the reason for the overload
(too much grass, twigs, etc.) before starting the lawn-
mower again.
Never leave the lawnmower without removing the
power cable so that children or other persons cannot
accidentally start the machine.
Mow often. It is best not to mow off more than a third
of the length of the blades of grass. The cut grass
penetrates into the lawn and acts as fertiliser and
protects against evaporation, becoming part of the
natural cycle.
Never mow the grass when it is wet from the rain
or dew, as this will make spreading more diffi cult. You
should never mow in the rain. Store the lawnmower
indoors during rainy weather. Clean the lawn before
mowing. Remember that it is not the grass that wears
the blades, but sticks, stones, cones, etc. Remember
that hard objects in the lawn can be fl ung out if you run
over them with the lawnmower, causing damage.
It is best to mow in different directions each time to
even out any stripes.
Changing the blade
1. Always start by disconnecting the power cable.
2. Lean the lawnmower on one side to access the
blade. Use work gloves and remember there is a risk
of cutting.
3. Undo the plastic-covered bolt in the middle of the
blade using a 24 mm fork spanner. The blade bolt is
loosened in the usual way anti-clockwise and may
stick. Be careful to avoid breaking the bolt head.
4. Remove the old blade and also check that the blade
attachment is undamaged.
