When the device is fi rst used, production-related additives (e.g. grease) may
cause a small amount of smoke and / or an odour to be produced. This is normal
and not a device defect.
7. Clean the device again (see the "Cleaning and Storage" chapter).

Use

PLEASE NOTE!
During and directly after use, always place the pans on heat-resistant surfaces. Do
not place any empty raclette pan in or on the device once it has heated up.
Only slide the raclette pans into the middle of the device! They must not jut out on
the other side. Sliding the raclette pans too far into the device may cause damage
to the handles.
Make sure that the heating element does not come into contact with any other
objects.
Do not place food that is still wrapped in cling fi lm or plastic bags into the device.
Food that is too large, metal foil packaging, or utensils may not be placed on or in the
raclette device because they may cause fi re or an electric shock.
Only use heat-resistant utensils to place and remove the food. Keep metal
objects or other sharp objects away from the device. These objects could
damage the non-stick coating of the grill plate. We recommend the use of
kitchen utensils made from wood or plastic.
We recommend that you season ingredients after they have been prepared
as the spices may burn at high temperatures and produce smoke.
1. Position the grill plate (1) on the rods over the heating element (2). Pay attention to
the markings on the grill plate and make sure that it is fi rmly and securely positioned.
2. Let the device heat up without pans (4) for a few minutes. Switch the On / Off switch (6)
to position I to turn the device on.
3. You can begin preparing the food once the device has heated up:
– Place the fi lled raclette pans on the rack (3) under the grill plate. Make sure that you
do not overfi ll the raclette pans so that the food does not touch the heating element.
– The grill plate can be used for grilling vegetables or meat or for preparing omelettes.
Make sure that you do not overfi ll the grill plate. If necessary, use a brush to dab
some oil onto the grill plate so that the food does not stuck to it.
4. Only hold the raclette pans by the handles and always let the raclette pans cool off
somewhat before you fi ll them with new ingredients.
5. If you no longer use the device, turn it off by switching the On / Off switch to the
0 position. Then pull the plug out of the socket.
6. Let the device and the accessories cool off completely and then clean all parts (see
section "Cleaning and storage"). Do not allow any leftover food to dry on the device.
