Rock tumbling is the hobby of collecting a wide range of rocks and turning

and a few other inexpensive materials.Have you ever picked up a rock on

touch? That's a rock that has been "tumbled" by mother nature (water and
sand) over the course of hundreds and even thousands of years.
Rock tumbling as a hobby is the exact same process. The thousand years
it would take nature to tumble a rock can easily be done at home in a
matter of weeks.

WHAT MAKES A ROCK GOOD FOR TUMBLING?
Most rocks you'll find in nature are not suitable to rock tumbling and it can
be a big,disappointing waste of time to attempt using them. Additionally, if
even one of the rocks you put into your tumbling batch doesn't meet
acceptable standards it will almost certainly ruin the entire batch!
You can't tumble every type of rock. There are four criteria that rocks
