Please note the following when setting up the device:
• Place the device on a chest of drawers, shelf, table or
similarly elevated surface so that the light and shadows
generated by the device are clearly visible outside.
• There should be no obstructive objects between the device
and any illuminated surfaces.
• The device should not be visible from outside.
• The light sensor (4) should not be covered when the device
is in auto mode.
• There should be a distance of at least 10 cm between the
device and any surrounding objects and walls.
• Position the device near a power outlet or use an exten-
sion cord.

Powering on and off

1. Connect the power adapter to the device before connect-
ing it to a power outlet.
2. Flip the switch (5) to the desired position.
Position I: HOMESHADOWS will be turned on and remain on
until the switch is flipped to position 0.
Position II: auto mode is activated. The light sensor (4)
detects whether it is light or dark. If it is dark, HOMESHADOWS
will automatically turn on and turn off again when it is light,
or around 5 to 7 hours later. The blue status LEDs (2)
indicate that the device is in auto mode.
Position 0: HOMESHADOWS is turned off and auto mode
deactivated.

The device can be turned on and off at pre-determined
times using an external timer. In this case, the device
should be switched to position I.
