WIRING
1. Plug theloopdetector intothedesired s lot(Shadow, Interrupt, or Exit) onthe
expansion boardof theoperator. N OTE: I f only LOOPDETLM l oop detectors are
used,manual f requency adjustments arenotrequiredandcrosstalkis
eliminated
.
If a LOOPDETLM
is used incombination w ithother alternate l oop
detectors, thenmanual frequency adjustments mayberequired
2. Insert t hetwisted wiresfromtheloopintothecorresponding terminal
(Shadow, Interrupt, or Exit) ontheexpansion b oard of theoperator. Polarity
does not matter.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Open or ShortedLoop(2 and3 Blink errors):
Testtheloopdetector(referto TEST THELOOP DETECTOR section).Ifthe loop
detectorpasses thetest,this indicates theloopdetectoris workingproperlyand
thereis anissuewiththeloopwiring.
Failed Authentication (4 Blink error):
Checkthe wire connecting the expansionboard to the main board or
Unplug the loopdetector t henplugit backinto thesameslot (clearsall faults
andkeepsthecurrentfrequency settings,authenticates) or
• Unplug theloopdetector. T henunplugtheJ15plugon theoperator's control
boardandplugit backin after2-3 seconds. T hisallowsthe loopdetectorto be
pluggedintoa differentslot (clearsall faultsandkeepsthecurrentfrequency
settings, authenticates).
To clear a fault:
• Presstheresetbuttonon theoperator(clearsall faults)or
• Unplug the loopdetector t henplugit backinto thesameslot.
Theloop is makingfalse detections:
• There is crosstalk b etween theLOOPDETLM
• Change thefrequency or lowerthesensitivitysettingof the loopdetector.
Theloopwill not activatewhen a vehicle passes over it:
• TurntheboostswitchONor increase thesensitivityof theloopdetectoror
• If the blueandwhiteLEDs aresolid,indicatinganActiveLoop,andthe
operator doesnotactivate, t herecouldbeafault. Oncetheloopis inactive,
checkthe LEDcodesfor a fault (referto LEDtable).
TEST THE LOOP DETECTOR
1. Turnthedial to TEST. T heloopdetectorwill senda signalto themainboard
simulating a vehicle overthe loop.
Exit: If thegateis closed,it will openor if thegateis already openit will remain
open.
Shadow: A ctiveONLY whenthe gateis in theopenposition. If thegateis open,
it will remainopen.
Interrupt:If thegateis closing,it will open.
2. Turnthedial backto thedesiredsensitivitysetting.
