Overview
This motor kit is for use with
ACgaragedoor openersthat
utilize electronic
controls
to
set the open(UP)and close
(DOWN)travel.The force is
adjustedautomaticallywhen
you programthe travel. The
imagesarefor referenceand
your productmay look
different.
You will need:
• 1/4" magneticnut driver
• Long-nosedpliers
• 5/16"long-shaftedmagneticnut driver and socket
Installation
CHECKOFF STEPSAS THEYARE COMPLETED
1. Preparation:
Closethe garagedoor.
_ Disconnectall electricalpower to the garage
door opener.
_ Disconnectwires for the door control (la) andthe
safety reversingsensors(1b) at the logic board.
_ Disconnectthe door arm from the rail (1c).
Removethe garagedoor openerfrom the hanging
brackets(ld).
_ Relaxthe chain/belttension by looseningthe outer
nut on the trolley.
_ Removethe sprocketcover (1e).
_
Remove the belt or chain from sprocket.
_
Placethe loose chain/belt on the end of the rail
nearestthe sprocket.Tapethe chain/beltto the rail
to preventthechain/belt f rom fallingto thefloor.
_ Removethe rail from the garagedoor opener.
To preventpossibleSERIOUS INJURYor DEATH from
electrocution,disconnectpowerto openerBEFORE proceeding.
