What do you have to do if...

?
Problem
The parasol can only be
opened with difficulty.
The parasol cannot be turned.

Maintenance and care

• Allow parasol to dry when opened to prevent formation of mould and discol-
ouration.
• If necessary, clean the cover of the parasol with lukewarm water, mild
detergent and a sponge.
• Only pull the protective cover over the dry parasol when dry.
• Do not clean the protective cover in the washing machine or chemically.
• Do not use bleach or sharp objects to prevent damage to the coating.
• From time to time, check that all screws are tight and retighten them if
necessary.
• Dirt on the wooden frame should be wiped damp and then dried with a soft
cloth.
• Parasols made of lacquered eucalyptus wood should be covered with the
protective cover or stored placed under a roof to protect the surface.
• If the parasol is in a very exposed position, you must anticipate increased
wear to it. In such cases we recommend more intensive maintenance and
care.
• In most cases, defective parasols can be repaired by your GLATZ partner.
Only use original spare parts provided by GLATZ.

Warranty

Always contact your GLATZ partner first before sending in the product. The
warranty period amounts to 24 months from the date of purchase. The de-
fective product must be sent to the manufacturer within 2 weeks. Wood is a
natural product. The growth, colour, texture and grain of each tree are unique.
Despite the most careful selection, processing and varnishing, slight shrinkage
and warping can occur and the colour will change slightly over time. Thanks to
the stabilising aluminium parts, this should have no influence on the function
of the parasol. Slight visual changes are due to the wood and therefore do not
constitute a valid cause of complaint. The warranty shall become null and void
in the following cases:
• Due to external force
• Incorrect use and maintenance
• Damage due to force majeure
The wind warranty for an open parasol is limited. The maximum permissible
wind speeds always require a fixed ground anchorage. If there are several
parasols a minimum distance of 20 cm must be observed between two
parasols. Likewise a minimum distance of 20 cm must be observed between
the parasol and walls.

Disposal

This symbol on the product, the accessory parts or on the pack-
aging indicates that the product must not be treated as unsorted
municipal waste, but must be disposed of separately. Dispose
of the product at a designated collection point for recycling. The
disposal of electrical and electronic equipment within the EU and
in other European countries takes place through collection points that have
separate collection systems for electrical and electronic equipment.
By properly disposing of the product, you are helping to prevent potential envi-
ronmental and health hazards that can be caused by improper handling of old
equipment. The recycling of materials contributes towards the conservation
of natural resources. Therefore, do not dispose of old electrical and electronic
equipment via the unsorted municipal waste.
The packaging is made from environmentally friendly materials that can be
disposed of in your local recycling facilities. By properly disposing of the
packaging and packaging waste you are helping to prevent potential environ-
mental and health hazards. The product consists of metal, wood and synthetic
parts. Disposal at the end of the product's service life must be performed in
accordance with the regional environmental and waste regulations.
