Replacement
Steps for Replacing the Impeller
To remove and reinstall the jam nut securely, it is recommended to use a wrench or socket. Ensure
the tool is compatible with the size of the nut and use gloves to protect your hands. No other tools are
required to replace the impeller.
NOTE: Use a wrench or socket of 18 mm or 3/4 inch size for the jam nut.
CAUTION: Only use a replacement impeller authorized by the manufacturer. Use of
unauthorized impeller is hazardous and may damage your tool.
CAUTION: Always wear gloves when servicing the impeller to protect your hands from

injury.
CAUTION: The impeller should be replaced if any signs of excessive wear are present.
For example, the snow can not be thrown as it should be.
1.
Stop the motor, remove the battery pack and wait for all moving parts to stop completely.
2.
Remove the jam nut which locks the impeller to impeller shaft by turning counter-clockwise.
3.
Remove the impeller and replace with a new one. (Fig. 1)
4.
Install the jam nut securely by turning it clockwise.
NOTE: Tighten the nut without over-tightening: thread it until it touches the impeller, then turn 1/6 to
1/4 turn further.
