Operating the Blender

Using the Blender

wWARNING
Electrical Shock Hazard
Plug into a grounded 3 prong outlet.
Do not remove ground prong.
Do not use an adapter.
Do not use an extension cord.
Failure to follow these instructions
can result in death, fire, or
electrical shock.
NOTE: Before you use the blender for the
first time, wash the jar and cover/filler cap.
To operate the blender, proceed as follows:
1. Place the blender on a clean, dry
surface, and then set the Power switch
to Off.
2. Place the ingredients to be blended into
the jar and place the cover and filler cap
onto the jar.
3. Plug the blender into an electric outlet.
4. Set the Mode switch to the desired
program cycle: A (Four-step), B (Three-
step), or C (Slide-step). See page 5 for
a description of the cycles.
5. Place the Power switch to On. If your unit
has an Operation/Status light, it
will be "yellow."
6. Place the jar on the base. Make sure it is
securely seated (If your unit has an
Operation/Status light, it will be "green").
7. If your unit has a time control, set it to the
desired blending time, from 5 to 60 sec-
onds.
8. Set the Power switch to Start. You can
stop the blender by setting the Power
switch to Off.

Cut Hazard
Always place cover on jar when
blending.
Do not put spoon or other utensils
in jar when blending.
Failure to follow these instructions
can result in broken bones or cuts.

Operation/Status light (on some models)
Yellow: Unit on, jar not seated or in place
Green: Jar in place, unit ready to run
Blinking Green: Unit running
Red: Fault, see "Troubleshooting Guide"
9. When the blending process is complete,
set the Power switch to Off.
NOTE: If the drink is not finished, press the
Pulse switch.
10. Serve the drink or food from the jar.
11. Clean the jar, cover, and filler cap as
directed in "Cleaning the Blender."
