6.2.2- Sediment cup and fuel tank filter
a) Sediment cup cleaning
 Move the fuel cock to the OFF position, then
remove the fuel sediment cup and O-ring.
 Wash the sediment cup and O-ring in
nonflammable solvent and dry them thoroughly.
 Place the O-ring in the sediment cup and then
install and tighten the sediment cup securely.
Move the fuel cock to the ON position, and check
for leaks. Replace the O-ring if there is any leakage.
b) Fuel tank cap & filter
 Remove the fuel tank cap and filter.
 Wash the filter in nonflammable solvent and dry it thoroughly.
 Replace filter and cap
Remark:
If the breather valve of the fuel tank filter and the fuel tank cap are clogged up, the engine may not
work normally or run at an unsteady speed.
Operating the engine for a long time without a fuel filter could lead to the scuffing of cylinder bore.
6.2.3- Spark plug
ATTENTION: never touch the spark plug immediately after the engine is stopped to avoid getting
burnt by the high temperature.
a) Remove the spark plug
b) Please remove or brush the dirt in the electrode with a brush every 25 hours.
Adjust the gap of the spark plug electrode gap between 0.7-0.8mm.
Remark: Too much suction of the fuel or using wasted or regenerated oil can pollute the spark plug
electrode and make it hard to start the engine.
6.2.4- Air-cooling passage
Please check the air-cooling passage and cylinder radiator and remove the attached impurity after it
is used for 25 hours
Remarks:
- If the air-cooling passage and the cylinder radiator are clogged up by dirt, the engine may
overheat, causing failure
- Never insert anything in the air-cooling passage during the operation. Touching the rotating part is
very dangerous
