When vertically steam ironing sensitive fabrics, hold the iron a few centimetres
away from the fabric.
1. Make sure that the water tank (7) has been fi lled and that the anti-limescale fi lter (X)
has been prepared.
2. Set the On/Off switch for the heat function of the soleplate (C) to position
on).
3. Set the temperature control (2) to high (•••) up to maximum temperature.
4. The temperature control light (3) will go out once the device has reached the set
temperature.
5. Set the On/Off switch for the heat function of the water tank (A) to position I (steam
emission on).
6. Once the water is hot enough, the control light for the heat function of the water tank
will go out (B). The iron is ready for use.
7. Push the
steam burst button (1), move the soleplate (9) a bit back and forth across
the fabric and let go of the button.
8. Wait a few seconds before pushing the button again. NOTE: The lower the ironing
temperature, the less steam will be produced and the longer it will take for more
steam to be produced.

After use

ATTENTION!
The device may still be very hot after use. Let the device cool off completely before
you empty the water tank and/or before the device is cleaned and stowed.
Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaning products to clean the device. They could
damage the surface. Do not use metal utensils to remove dirt from the soleplate.
1. After ironing, set the On/Off switch for the heat function of the soleplate (C) to the
position 0 (soleplate off) and, if applicable, the On/Off switch for the heat function of
the water tank (A) to position 0 (steam production off) and the temperature control
(2) to position 0.
2. Set the iron on the storage tray (8) or vertically on the support foot (4).
3. Pull the mains plug out of the socket.
4. Let the soleplate (9) cool off completely.
5. Empty the water tank (7). Open the water tank cap (D), hold the storage tray over a
sink or similar and turn it upside down. Let all the water run out of the water tank (7).
6. Connect the iron to the power supply again and set the On/Off switch for the heat
function of the soleplate (C) to position I (soleplate on) and the On/Off switch for the
heat function of the water tank (A) to position I (steam emission on) and the temper-
ature control (2) to the highest setting for one to two minutes so that any remaining
water evaporates. Repeat steps 1 to 4.
7. When needed, wipe off the device housing with a soft, damp cloth and dry it with a
soft cloth.
