62 •Use the side crank to wind the winch rope.
63 •ELECTRIC ACCELERATOR/BRAKE PEDAL. Lift
the foot from the pedal to engage the brake
automatically.
64 •GEAR LEVER. The gear lever has three positions.
Press the lever down to activate the reverse
gear; pull it up to activate the second gear.
IMPORTANT! Only first and reverse gear work
when the vehicle has just been removed from the
box. See steps 65 and 66 to activate the second
gear.
65 •Loosen the safety screw to unlock the second
gear.
66 •Fit the second gear block into the second hole,
as shown in the figure. Now, you can use the
second gear, too. Place the second gear block
into the first hole if you do not want your child
to use second gear.

67 •Open the battery compartment, as shown above.
Disconnect plug A (battery) from plug B
(electrical system).
68 •Loosen the screw of the battery holder and
remove it, as shown in the figure. Remove the
battery.
69 •Connect plug A (battery) to plug B (electrical
system). Tighten the battery holder back into
place.
70 •Remember to close and fasten the battery
compartment door when finished.
CHARGING THE BATTERY
WARNING: BATTERY CHARGING AND EVERY
OTHER OPERATION ON THE ELECTRICAL
SYSTEM MUST BE CARRIED OUT BY ADULTS
ONLY. THE BATTERY CAN ALSO BE CHARGED
WITHOUT REMOVING IT FROM THE TOY.
ATTENTION! Fully charge the battery
before using the toy.
• After every use or at least once every 3 months,
charge the lithium battery.
71 •Insert the battery charger plug into a domestic
power socket following the instructions attached.
Connect plug B to plug C (battery charger).
72 •Once charged, disconnect the battery charger
from the socket, then disconnect plug C from
plug B.
73 •Insert plug B into plug A, snapping it into place.
Remember to close and fasten the battery
compartment door when finished.
How to use the battery charger
WARNING
1 • Insert only lithium batteries supplied by PEG
PEREGO.
2 • Do not use with non-rechargeable batteries.

3 • For adult use only. It is not a toy. This
appliance is not intended for use by infirm
persons unless they are being adequately
supervised by a responsible person to ensure
that they can use the appliance safely.
4 • Do not use with damaged sheathing, cable or
connector.
5 • Charge the battery only in a well ventilated area.
6 • Do not remove the plug by pulling on the cable.
7 • Do not drag the vehicle along on its wheels by
pulling the battery charger's cable.
8 • Avoid overheating the cable by covering it and
do not rest it on hot surfaces.
9 • Be aware of how the output cable is wound to
prevent damaging it.
10 • Should the battery charger be damaged, do not
use it until it is fully repaired.
11 • The product contains some elements that are
considered harmful to the environment. Disposal
of these elements or of the entire product at the
end of its life should be in accordance with the
regulations in force in the country where it is
used.
12 • Before using the battery charger make sure that
it is fitted with the specific plug for the country
in which it is going to be used.
13 • Children should not play with the battery
charger as IT IS NOT A TOY.

The battery charger is fitted with a safety device
which means that in the event of overheating or a
short circuit of the battery, a protection system will
intervene to prevent current peaks, which could
damage the battery charger.
In this case unplug the battery charger from the
power outlet, remove the cause of the short circuit
and reconnect everything.
