  • Page 3 STAIR BRACKET INSTALLATION Prepare all posts and mounting surfaces before Fig. 1 installation. NOTE: Check with your local building code office for design load requirements for guard rails and bottom space requirements. All supporting structures should be built in accordance with applicable building codes.
  • Page 4 Slide a bottom bracket cover onto each end of the Fig. 4 bottom rail, and temporarily secure in place with 1 1/2" Minimum tape. Position the brackets covers so that once they are cut a minimum of 1½" of material is left on the bottom of the bracket (Fig.
  • Page 5 Insert an un-tabbed baluster into each of the first Fig. 10 and last routs of the bottom rail, and set the top rail in place by inserting them into the corresponding routs (Fig. 10). Place the top rail inside of the posts to measure accurately.
  • Page 6 Hold the aluminum bracket in place on the end of Fig. 15 the rail; mark the bottom of the aluminum bracket onto the post (Fig. 15). Push the rail aside. Pre-drill and attach the aluminum bracket (Fig. 16). (Bottom rail bracket installation depicted.) Repeat at the top of the stair section.

  • Page 8 NO-CUT STAIR BRACKET INSTALLATION Prepare all posts and mounting surfaces before Fig. 1 installation. Rest a plank on the noses of the stairs between the mounting surface to which you are installing the stair rail (Fig. 1). The thickness of the plank will determine the space between the stairs and bottom rail.
  • Page 9 Insert a baluster without a tab (Figure 9 shows Fig. 6 notched baluster with tab) into the first and last baluster holes of the installed bottom rail (Fig. 6). Set the top rail in place by inserting these balusters into the corresponding holes in the top rail. For ease of measurement, place the top rail to the side of the post or mounting surface as in Figure 6.

  • Page 16 Faites glisser les caches support d’attache du bas Fig. 4 à chaque extrémité de la lisse basse, et fixez-les 3,81 cm minimum 1 1/2" Minimum temporairement en place avec du ruban adhésif. Placez les caches support de sorte qu’une fois coupé, un minimum de 3,81cm du matériau reste sur la partie inférieure de celle-ci (figure 4).
  • Page 17 Insérez un balustre sans languettes dans chacun Fig. 10 des premiers et des derniers trous de la lisse basse, et mettez en place la main courante en les insérant dans les trous correspondants (figure 10). Placez la main courante à l’intérieur des poteaux pour mesurer avec précision.
  • Page 18 Maintenez le support en aluminium en place sur Fig. 15 l’extrémité de la main courante; marquez le bas du support d’attache en aluminium sur le poteau (figure 15). Coloque las tapas de soporte de manera que, una vez que se corten, quede un mínimo de 3,81cm de material en la parte inferior del soporte (Figura 4).

  • Page 32 USO DEL SOPORTE DE ESCALERA SIN CORTAR Prepare todos los postes y las superficies de Fig. 1 montaje antes de la instalación. Coloque un tablón en las aristas de las escaleras, entre la superficie de montaje en donde se va a instalar el barandal de la escalera (Figura 1).
  • Page 33 Inserte un barrote sin lengüeta (La Figura 9 Fig. 6 muestra un barrote con muesca y lengüeta) en el primer y último orificio para barrote del travesaño inferior instalado (Figura 6). Coloque el travesaño superior en su lugar mediante la inserción de estos barrotes en los orificios correspondientes del travesaño superior.
