Instruction for use
General information - read carefully
Read and understand this manual before using the product.
The instructions must always be available in the national language.
If these are not available, the seller must clarify this with SKYLOTEC
before resale. The instructions must be made available to the user.
The equipment may only be used by persons in good physical and
mental health. They must be trained in safe use and have the
necessary knowledge, or be under the supervision of such a
person. Emergency and evacuation plans must be in place for all
eventualities. Rescue operations must be able to be carried out as
quickly as possible.
1.) Rescue system
A rescue system consists at least of a suitable body-holding device,
e.g. a rescue harness according to EN 1497, a rescue lifting device
EN 1496 or abseiling device EN 341 and an anchor point, e.g.
according to EN 795. Only tested and approved components may
be used within the described conditions of use and for the intended
purpose. When combining individual components, it must be
ensured that the safe function of each component and of the
assembled rescue system is always guaranteed, as there is a risk
to life and limb in the event of non-compliance.
The anchor point to which the equipment is attached must have a
minimum strength of 12 kN (approx. 1.2 t). Select/position anchor
points as vertically as possible, above the person to be rescued.
When connecting directly to structural equipment, make sure that
no sharp edges endanger the equipment and that the connection
cannot come loose by itself. In particular, make sure that all EN 362
connectors (carabiners) are securely fastened.
