7. SIM/SD-Card replacement Instruction
The following Ex-safety items are to be considered together with the installation guide inclu-
ded in the corresponding operating instructions in case of a SIM/SD-Card replacement.
The opening of the card covers is only allowed in ordinary (non-hazardous) locations

The work steps must be done carefully because safety relevant parts are removed.
■
The process shall be done in a clean environment to avoid soiling of the critical parts
■
and joints.
Carefully follow the operating instructions to disassemble the IP-Card cover and
■
d-Card cover.
Before re-assembling the covers the following items shall be considered:
Carry out a visual inspection on the card covers and openings for dust and dirt and
■
clean them if required.
Check the covers and openings for any signs of damage like scratches, dents etc.
■
Check the d-Sim-with-cover flame-path surface for any dirt or damage.
■
• If damage is observed do not use the device in the hazardous locations anymore.
• If required clean the flame path surface with a clean and dry cloth.
the surface to be checked is hatched here in the figure.
Also the corresponding opposite side of the enclosure shall be inspected.
When re-assembling the covers ensure that the parts are inserted in parallel and fit

together with ease.
Use a torque screwdriver to tighten the screws with a torque of 0.26 Nm.
Use only original parts and screws.
