TROUBLESHOOTING
Before installing, check the following top known causes of these codes:
DTC code
U0107
Problem with body ground, throttle body, PCM, wiring and/or TAC module
P2108
Problem with knock sensor, throttle body, vehicle battery, TAC module and/or
software update
P1516
Throttle body
P1515
Throttle body
For all throttle error conditions, perform these checks:
With the vehicle off, use a multimeter to measure the resistance between the negative
battery terminal and the throttle body housing. Resistance should be less than 1 Ohm.
After clearing DTCs and while the vehicle is running, twist, lightly pull and flex the
wiring harness and ensure no DTCs are created. Turn off vehicle if no DTCs appear.
When the vehicle has been off for 5 minutes or longer, verify the battery voltage is
above 12.4VDC.
The most common failure is a failing throttle body position sensor. It is possible to
connect a multimeter and watch as pressing the accelerator causes the throttle body
to sweep through the range. It can also be seen with an oscilloscope. On the throttle
actuator controller's 16-position connector, position 1 and 11 must have no spikes in
voltage as the throttle body sweeps through its range of motion.
PROGRAMMING
Progamming is not necessary.
