Before Initial Use

CAUTION!
Danger of suffocation! Keep the packaging material away from children and animals.
1. Take the device out of its packaging and check it for transportation damage. If you notice
any damage, do not use the device (!); please contact our customer service department.
2. The battery compartment is located on the bottom of the scales. The batteries were
secured with a fi lm for transportation purposes. Remove the fi lm to activate the
scales.

Setting the Weight and Height Unit

You can choose whether the weight should be displayed in kilograms (kg), pounds (lb) or
stone (st). Depending on which unit of weight you choose, the unit of height also changes:
With kilograms the height is displayed in centimetres (cm); with pounds and stone the
height is displayed in feet and inches (' / "). The default setting for the scales is kg.
To set the weight and height unit, proceed as follows:
Conventional Weighing
1. Stand with both feet on the measuring surface of the scales. Your weight will be
shown on the display. The kg unit of weight is preset as standard.
2. To change the unit of weight from kg to lb or st, you must press the Unit button on the
bottom of the scales (see the "Device Overview" chapter, "Bottom" section).
3. By pressing the button, you can switch between the units kg, lb and st. The selected
unit of weight is now saved and will be displayed to you automatically the next time
you weigh yourself. NOTE: If the unit of weight is changed, this unit of weight will also
be saved in all user profi les and displayed when a person is next weighed.
Weighing with User Profi le
1. Select your user profi le by pressing the SET button and selecting a user profi le with
the aid of the  buttons (to create a user profi le, please read the "Use" chapter,
"Setting a User Profi le" section).
2. All of the data saved in the user profi le will then be shown in succession on the
display. Wait until the display shows '0.0' (kg, lb or st).
3. On the bottom of the scales you will fi nd the Unit button (see the "Device Overview"
chapter, "Bottom" section).
4. By pressing the button, you can switch between the units kg, lb and st. The selected
unit of weight is now saved and will be displayed to you automatically the next time
you weigh yourself. NOTE: If the unit of weight is changed in one user profi le, this
unit of weight will also be saved in all other user profi les!
